Majestic Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Rohit Sharma has got injured like thrice in past 1.75 years. Gill got injured after WTC final and now before SA tour. Rahul got injured before NZ tour and was injured before 4th test vs Australia also in 2020-21 series. Washington got injured during England series. Jadeja got injured now and was injured amidst the Australia series too. Except Pujara, Kohli and Rahane, it seems everyone is getting injured so often. What is the reason behind it? Where is the ownership? Who in the management should be accountable for this?
helperononline Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 U answer it yourself would u prefer to go to south africa with so much of corona /omnicron scares I doubt it Some players are faking injury to avoid the tour they will be super fit for IPL I beleive.
I6MTW Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Indian genetics. Cannot handle heavy physical workloads in sports. Now cricket is also becoming more work intense with the three formats and constant schedule etc. Which is why many Indian players are getting injured. SRT100, Vijy, Cricspin and 1 other 1 3

But then how Rahane and Pujara are so fit and much less injury prone? Test specialists? Rahane does play IPL. Also, by no means, a Pujara is as fit as a KL or Rohit or anyone else mentioned here.

Fitness problem and age Rahul: Wrist injury while batting Gill - injured while batting/ fielding Sundar - finger injury while batting Jadeja: injured by Starc bouncer hitting left thumb The last 4 injuries are part of cricket, could be partly attributed to poor technique. Rohit is the obvious one due to fitness issues. Bowlers injury is a different issue though, primarily fitness issues and reflects poorly on our setup. Vijy 1

Also in recent years, Rahane seldom gets selected in the IPL playing XI. Vijy, Cricspin, Chakdephatte and 3 others 5 1
vvvslaxman Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 This probably was the reason lol Some guys don't even have to do this You are looking at someone picking up a finger injury. mishra 1
SRT100 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Pujara would have been out injured after the GABBA test if there was a 5th Test. Vijy 1
rkt.india Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 If you get hit on your finger and break it or tear your ligament while fielding or get hit on the shoulder and gets a fracture or tear your hamstring while taking a run or get hit on forearm while fielding at short leg, who can you hold accountable for such injuries? Have have you ever Played cricket at any level with hard ball or just a tennis ball maharathi? If you have, you would know you can get injured in cricket any time while batting, bowling or fielding. Hard ball hurts if it hits you, breaks the bones as a batsman or as a fielder.

mishra Posted December 14, 2021 Posted December 14, 2021 (edited) Rohit has been dropped. Injury is excuse to media and people. Rohit will play on one leg if he is selected, This is very basic difference between him and Kohli Edited December 14, 2021 by mishra sorak 1

Rahane - Yes Pujara - No. He works hard for his runs, irrespective of whether he is still able to score or not.
