Now, with 70 runs already ahead and Kohli/Pujara looking good (given that they weathered the new ball from Rabada), it seems like India will at the least post 220-250 runs in their second dig and set a target of 250+ for South Africa. Kohli will definitely ensure that he steps up tomorrow as that will leave a permanent legacy for his captaincy. Given the conditions in Capetown and the form of spear head Jasprit Bumrah, I cannot see the Saffers chasing anything above 250. India is in driver's seat in this test match. Enjoy these moments folks. History is being written in a day or two when India wins a test series for the first time in South Africa. Even great Indian teams could not accomplish this tremendous feat. We as Indian Cricket fans should relish this victory completely in the next couple of days. The pitch is quite different from the pitch for the second game, which had something in it for bowlers but it flattened as the game went on and all through, it was quite good to score runs as well. Whereas the pitch for the 3rd test is not easy to score runs on,. It requires batsmen to grind and accumulate runs. This becomes tougher when a side needs to chase because runs dont come easy. But India have their work cut out for the first two sessions on day 3. Because Rabada is still a threat on this wicket and others will also get some help. India's lower order doesnt inspire much confidence. One batsman needs to make it count big.

It is their home ground. They will do everything to win the series. So it is going to be hardwork. One thing that will be in favor is the pressure of winning the series. In order to create the pressure and sustain it, we need a reasonable total to defend. Half assed totals like 200, 225 can be chased down with one good partnership. Norman and Lord 2

They are much more familiar with these pitches than our batsmen. That too out of form batsmen. sandeep 1
Laaloo Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 If pujara or Kohli get out in the first 10 minutes tomorrow, we will get bowled out for 150 since the loser rahane will suck again and pant is unreliable although does have a knack of performing good in pressure situations.

With Rahane and Pant Next, We are no where near a safe total, it is advantage India for Sure at the moment, but we need to see the first hour through today, and then put some runs on the board and bat through out the day if Possible. Its like you have never watched Indian cricket in SENA. This lineup has the capacity to be rolled out before lunch and basically end the game. 2/57 can easily go to 6/100 with our walking wickets. express bowling 1

The funniest part of that game when I turned on the TV, I couldnt understand how Australia were batting, then I saw 36 and thought it was a typo error.
