Majestic
Rahul Rohit Gill Kohli Vihari Pant(wkt) Jadeja Ashwin/ Shardul ( home/away) Shami( Axar at home for one of pacers on alternate basis) Bumrah Siraj Then the backups:- Mayank as third opener Shreyas as middle order backup W Sundar as batting A/R( they won't play him till Jadeja is there) Umesh and Prasidh as pace bowling backups How many is the count now? That's 18. So, Chepu and AR don't deserve to be even in 18 let alone 11. Link to comment
asterix
^^^ Not convinced with Vihari. He’s just mediocre. A decent player but just mediocre. No x-factor. I was supporting Ashwin n big time when he was benched in England. Not any more. He’s a finger spinner and a Scientist. He should spend most of his time in his Laboratory. raki05, Vk1, Adamant and 1 other 3 1 Link to comment

vayuu1
See people including Rohit and umesh just want to answer one thing how much time do we have with them,i mean both are well over 30 ,why not invest in new bloke and groom them. Link to comment
vayuu1
We need to rotate fast bowlers, groom young guys identify bowlers who are willing to bend their backs Link to comment
asterix
Domestic cricket watchers, do we have any left arm seamer who could be future prospect. Need left arm pacer & also a middle order lefty batsman. Link to comment

Need left arm pacer & also a middle order lefty batsman. Yash Dayal bowls in mid-to-late 130s as per slower domestic speed guns and swings the ball both ways, good prospect. Nagwaswalla would also be good if he was 5 kpf faster and hit the deck harder. We have Sundar as a middle order left-hand batting AR nevada and express bowling 2 Link to comment

True. At 3-4, you need technically strong batsmen. Aa alrounder, I would like Sundar, a batting spin alrounder at 6. I am not comfortable with just 5 batsmen. We need a spin bowling alrounder to bat at 6 or 7. Specialist spinner isn't useful if we are playing 4 seamers. Link to comment

Bit of work on his fitness and he can be a great test prospect. asterix 1 Link to comment

express bowling
Tests Outside Asia .... 1. Rahul 2. Rohit 3. Gill 4. Washington 5. Kohli / Shreyas 6. Pant 7. Jadeja 8. Shardul 9. Bumrah 10. Shami / Siraj ( rotate ) 11. Prasidh Tests in Asia .... 1. Rahul 2. Rohit 3. Gill 4. Washington 5. Shreyas 6. Pant 7. Jadeja 8. Ashwin 9. Axar 10. Siraj 11. Bumrah / Prasidh ( rotate ) .... Try Kohli only in tests outside Asia to see if he has resurrected himself as a batsman after giving up captaincy ... groom young batters in Asia .... Washington must be tried as a specialist batsman .... It's high time we groomed a tall, quick, bounce bowler like Prasidh .... Play old man Shami only in away tests, that too by rotation with Siraj, so that he can fire on all cylinders. .... Young pacers should be groomed in home tests as spinners do the bulk of the job at home .... Remove Rahane and Pujara from the squad. .... Remove Ishant and Umesh from the squad. Vijy
play shaw at home, then ease him in abroad. dude got 3 tests and was summarily dismissed, whereas trimurthi got a long rope. shaw does have weaknesses, but it's not like the cupboard is bursting with talent. he did decently in my opinion in NZ, where pitches were very hard to bat on. Admittedly looked clueless in Oz, but he seems to have made some adjustments. express bowling 1 Link to comment

Logical, accurate and the right approach. The batting alone just looks so much stronger and the bigger the score the more pressure the bowlers can place on the opposition batsmen. Its been so long since I have seen Sundar play?? Is he due back soon? Vijy and express bowling 2 Link to comment

I think the positions of Pujara, Kohli and Rahane are all vacant. Gill, Iyer, and Shaw at least will allow India to develop their test team next time in SENA. express bowling 1 Link to comment
