zen Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Rank turners should be banned as they are prepared by keeping the pitch unprepared … It is not cricket and therefore not surprised to see their use in countries like India
vvvslaxman Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 (edited) Haydos did that prior to 2001 tour. Had a successful series. But he scruffed up the surface to recreate. Preparations are key to overseas tour. Tendulkar used to bat against wet tennis ball from 15 yards before Australian tours. Edited February 17, 2022 by vvvslaxman
R!TTER Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Gonna be a dead duck sitting on the backfoot like that, also a lead back foot at that not mention so much glass in that backyard We'd avoid windows & what not back in the day, WT eff is he doing over there
LordPrabhzy Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 And our great batsmen prepare for tough tours by organising weddings, shopping tours and sightseeing... Frustrated, Lord, Vk1 and 2 others 1 4

Sandeep99 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Solely looking at the videos.. I can already tell he's going to be a sitting duck. He has good chance to shine with the ball though. Bowls decently

You have to play Jaddu mostly on back foot anyways. Use depth of the crease against him as he doesn't flight the ball. Against Axar who I think varies pace u need a solid front foot defence which most Aussie players always have.
SRT100 Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Aussies try an create sub continent conditions down under, but the bottom line, is that the heat, humidity, pressure and slow turners are hard to create in back yard cricket.

He does use it from time to time, you could use that against him before 2016/17 but in that home season he clearly showed he could bowl on any surface. Where he lacks is generally the amount of turn & of course his height - tall bowlers in cricket have always had some form of advantage or the other whether bounce or even turn.
Adamant Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 He will do well in Asian conditions. If you are obsessed about cricket as much as he is you wil be successful even if you have no talent.
SK_IH Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I think this guy will be exposed in subcontinent. He is a highly overrated batsman, a Steve Smith wannabe.
