Babar is not far from becoming best batsman from Asia.He has everything which a top class batsman needs to become great.He just needs more 100s in tests.It was an amazing knock which would make any Indian batsman proud.The sheer pressure of facing 170 plus overs is enough for any batsman to fail.

I don't understand why Babar scoring 100 is causing few meltdowns and temper tantrums.He is a very good batsman who is on rise, reaching his peak.He will be a force to reckon in all formats for next few years. This hundred will help him a lot as it was scored under immense pressure.

The OP is not far from truth, Babar is the finest batsmen from Asia at the moment. His game is pretty good all round. Though I don't rate him high as a T20 batsman but he is consistently improving his test batting. Few years ago he used to be a lbw candidate to in dippers but he has worked on it.

If I compare Babar to peak Kohli in limited overs cricket, I find Babar way behind simply because Virat once got into zone used to obliterate bowlers with precise ground shots. I don't see that power game or dynamic play or domination from Babar.

Kohli was beast,Kohli from 2013 -2018/19 was phenomenal, dangerous,used to decimate bowling attacks with powerful orthodox shots

He did destroy his peace of mind from late 2016 ,very time where his ego got hold of him

He has played an outstanding knock under massive scoreboard pressure. No matter how benign the pitch, doing this against the Aussie attack deserves praise.
