Toss-winning record of captains so far, sorted from most lucky to most unlucky:

 

Kane (SRH) - 7/7 - 100%

 

Pant (DC) - 5/7 - 71%

S. Iyer (KKR) - 5/8 - 62%

 

Pandya (GT) - 4/7 - 57%

KL (LSG) - 4/7 - 57%

FaF (RCB) - 4/8 - 50%

Sharma (MI) - 3/7 - 42%

 

Jaddu (CSK) - 2/7 - 29%

Mayank (PK) - 1/7 - 14%

Samson (RR) - 1/7 - 14%

Kya bakwaas captaincy ho rahi hai
 

  • Pant- gave ball to lalit against Rana, rana eats off spinners like anything. Worst of all pant has played cricket with Rana how come he didnt knew that. Kuldeep didnt complete his quota 
  • Iyer - Gave over to rana for warner, warner also plays off spin damn well. Other end Lalit was standing and that wud have made his life easy. 
             Then over to venky iyer against powell, WI batsman loves Non harmful bowlers

We are filled with poor captains all over.

 

Isn't iyer better than other jokers?

My ranking of captains this IPL

 

 

Williamson : handles his bowlers very well and commands the room. Best captain hands down. Backed youngsters really well and handled them well 

 

Rohit : they say failures show more about you than success. Handled it like a gentleman, didn’t throw players under a bus and took the heat on himself and still backed some younger players. Deserves appreciation.

 

Pandya : whatever he is doing is working for him. Team looks like a unit. Saw him lose his cool unnecessarily a couple of times so loses the 2nd rank. 

 

Faf : strong leader and has tons of experience. Checks all boxes. Sometimes too process oriented.

 

Rahul: again things working for him but keeps his cool and seems like an approachable guy.

 

Samson-Mayank: 2 of the nicest guys in the cricketing circuit by all accounts and players seem to genuinely want to do well for them. Great interpersonal  skills. Tactically extremely weak.

 

Iyer: as mediocre as it gets.

 

Pant: would have been a tie with Iyer but the whole noball gate should make him a no. 10 but escapes for only 1 reason. See below.

 

Jadeja: 90% public don’t know he is captain including himself. Let’s Dhoni do his thing and doesn’t seem to bring his own flavor or thinking. By default the worst. Even though it Dhoni was the official captain he would be ranking a few slots higher than some other names on the list.

How does that work? If Dhoni is making all the moves,so he'd been same for this IPL :dontknow:

This is individual ranking. Some captains are better even though their teams might be lower .

 

Jadeja needs to be more proactive. At least Kohli was posing for the cameras and trying to act busy when he was captain with Dhoni.

Jaddu isnt even doing anything. Its all Dhoni.

So all are duds with Pandya and Samson unproven.

They seem to do the basic rights which is listen to their coaches and then blindly implement it. Same goes for Mayank.

 

Jaddu is the biggest captaincy dud this IPL. Not 1 leadership quality shown. At least others seem to have good bonding with their teams including Iyer and Pant.

  1. Iyer and rana both struggle against short stuff- shud have given one more over to Prasidh and shud have askd both sen n prasidh to bowl shgort stuff at them
  2. Bowling ash to both , both dont have any issue against offies infact they love them. They got the momentum

i think Hardik is definitely the best captain out of the above. He bats well, bowls well and his fielding sets standards for other team mates and they also stretch above and beyond.

Hardik tries to excel in fielding too and he motivates other team mates also to do so.

 

i have observed hardik bringing in 4 pacer theory in this IPL and has some specific plans, he is always standing near bowlers and keeps a good level of interaction.

my understanding is that ROHIT is the best CAPTAIN and Kohli also did a fairly good Job. only captain among these who can challenge Rohit right now is Hardik pandya, i rate him high as a captain.

Samson- 4.5/10

pant-4/10

shreyas- 5/10

mayankk-5/10
