zen
I would prefer if candidates for the T20 WC squad are played in both T20s & ODIs ... Below is my preferred 11: Gill - if KL is unavailable, want to see him get a run Hooda Samson SKY SDP DK Thakur (if batting well) or D Chahar (if fit) or Sundar (as he can bowl in PP) or Harshal (if batting well) Umran -> for x-factor & to give him more experience Shami, if bowling well (or Harshal if D Chahar is playing) Bumrah Yuzi ^ Above is preferred 11, however, the TM would probably go with below: Rohit Kishan (if KL is unavailable) Kohli SKY Pant or DK SDP Jadeja or Axar Harshal Bhuvi Bumrah Yuzi Edited July 3, 2022 by zen Link to comment
zen
Moshin could have been in the scheme of things but appears as if he will be considered in 2023 Link to comment
Majestic
The 17 man squad for England I would have assuming Kuldeep, Sundar and D Chahar still unfit: Rohit Kishan Kohli Gill/ Shaw SKY Pandya D Hooda DK Pant Jadeja Yuzi Ashwin ( Kuldeep is injured so I will bring him) Bhuvi( new ball and final overs) Bumrah( middle and final overs) Harshal( middle and final overs) Umran( middle and final overs) Mohsin( new ball and final overs) Edited June 29, 2022 by Majestic Link to comment
Vijy
it won't matter much when playing the world's best LOI side on flat tracks (not bowling-oriented ones). SRT100 1 Link to comment
bahadur_billa
I have a feeling that Shikhar will be there in ODIs Link to comment

deepdynamo
I am least bother about ODI right now...we can start preparing for it after 2022 T20 WC. In any case the top 6 of ODI team is already set and they will play in 2023. Just need to prepare backups. Dhawan Rohit Kohli Rahul Pant Hardik Link to comment
Lone Wolf
@zen 5th test ends on 5th July, 1st T20 on 7 July in Rose bowl Southampton so rest assured Kohli Pant Bumrah Jadeja are rested. Rohit if it isn't fit to play Test will lead T20 team. Rohit Kishan Samson SKY Hooda Pandya DK Harshal/Boobie Umran Avesh/Arshdeep Chahal That should be ideal XI... Hooda/Pandya as 5th bowler on a bigger Rose bowl ground. zen 1 Link to comment

zen
Just now, Jay said: Why so we need dk who is nearing 40? Don't we have one freaking player who can be a power hitter and at his peak? DK has tailored his game for T20s (focused on one format due to IPL) … Much improved cricketer who brings value with his 360 batting … His selection would be form dependent (and not as an investment) as the WC is only a few months away Link to comment

Sums it up. his career only sums up one thing lack of understanding of using a player in right format n right position His age, his performance in other formats or other batting position doesnt matter ........what matters is what he does on the role he is given Link to comment
