deepdynamo
I think Kohli has too big an ego. Believe he can flourish under a new captain who command his respect. Bumrah is the guy. Don't think he is comfortable under Rohit. Link to comment

LordPrabhzy
If he doesnt score anything in this test match then yes he is done. He is to focused on marketing, sponsorships and media deals to focus on rejuvenation of his batting and do a second coming like Sachin when he went through a purple patch. Sachin also had many endorsement deals but he didnt let it take over his life and game... unlike Kohli. Based on this i dont have any faith of his second coming as a batsman. nevada and Norman 2 Link to comment
AuxiliA
Kohli doesn't have the technical mastery that Tendulkar had. Outside of his insane peak of 2016-18 he was never consistently good at test cricket. I highly doubt he will ever be a good test batsman again. nevada, sage and Suhaan 1 2 Link to comment

He's immensely flawed with his technique, that's correct express bowling 1 Link to comment
Nikola
I don't think he is totally finished but he is surely past his peak. Still may get in good form for couple of years if he works hard but won't be as good as he was at his peak. Link to comment

He is bound to score runs every now and then but the point is, he is on a downward slope so we should start transitioning a new no.4 in tests. nevada 1 Link to comment

Nobody will scores runs for entire career of 15 yrs Link to comment
adi B
I will just say this ,his fat ego will ensure he'll be done as a batsman sooner rather than later. For making a comeback ,you need to be hungry and keep your ego aside ,I see no comeback from this guy ! And to add to this ,he has some glaring technical issues which was masked up due to his great eye hand coordination, not anymore Edited June 30, 2022 by adi B Link to comment
express bowling
It all depends on whether this prolonged loss of form is due to significantly slower reflexes and/or eye sight issues. Edited June 30, 2022 by express bowling Mosher 1 Link to comment
express bowling
Kohli's almost non-existent off side back foot play is definitely affecting him adversely at an older age as reflexes slow down. If I were his coach, I would want him to work on this aspect and then he could do better. diga, BacktoCricaddict and Mosher 3 Link to comment
BacktoCricaddict
He certainly can. But he needs time away from the game to fix his game, score runs in domestics and return refreshed. And maybe consider retiring from T20s. express bowling 1 Link to comment

If Root or Smith had as bad a run as Kohli, they would have retired by now. Kohli has overstayed his welcome and embarrassed himself with his consistent failures and defeatist body language. Anyways, I am not invested in Kohli's success or failure and just want the team to do well. It sounds cliched but the game is bigger than any individual. raki05 and BacktoCricaddict 2 Link to comment
