having the same feeling ever since butler became captain this side looks deranged, now that they have lost 2 left hander- stokes-morgan from middle i wud wanna see how they build their ODI batting . Mix of left and right is a huge part of their limited over strategy

Morgan as captain was too good

Need to play more matches , between the 2015 and 2019 wcs they played 90 matches, from the 2019 wc till now they have played 30 matches.

That's the case with most other teams as well.   Due to covid , there were hardly any intl matches in 2020 and most part of 2021.

They are missing Morgan,Stokes,Archer,Wood,Woakes.

They'll be good once Archer and Wood return

Is Stokes retired from T20Is as well? Why didnt he play in this series? England is okay batting wise but their bowling is weak, without Woakes and Wood. Archer seems like a memory now not sure how effective he will be in his comeback, whenever that is. England should look for 1-2 enforcer type bowlers like Wood to fix their team balance.

During that 2015-2019 period,  the white kookaburra ball was at it's worst. It barely moved off the straight and faster, flatter English wickets, this encourage their style of attacking play.

Kookaburra upgraded sometime after the World Cup and as you can see the results of such attacking play haven't paid off as much as they used to.  Also the pitches haven't been absolute belters either .

England need to recalibrate their approach .
