Chakdephatte
I like Hooda and he is better than Iyer. But it's obvious that he played in Ireland when we were resting others. There's nothing to discuss. Each of the two have a few upsides over the other. If they think Iyer should be there because of persistent performances, nothing wrong with it. I would prefer Hooda, but that doesn't matter. Don't adress yourself as we. Edited August 1, 2022 by Chakdephatte Link to comment

Why Iyer is persisted in T20 knowing well that he is United for t20 and why sky is opening when Pant is already there and given opening position during eng T20 series. express bowling and Sean Bradley 2 Link to comment

Even Rahane used to play T20 and costed us 2016 WT20 express bowling 1 Link to comment

gattaca
Hooda for T20s and Iyer for ODIs. Pick players based on format a player skills should match the format. Iyer has skills to build innings much needed in ODIs hooda can hit after few balls. Edited August 1, 2022 by gattaca raki05 and Majestic 2 Link to comment
Lord
Its actually DK who's keeping Hooda out not Iyer. Iyer is certain as backup of top 3 Link to comment

Hooda has performed against Ireland but Ireland is no noob in T20 especially whn they are playin at their home. BTW if it's not for Hooda inning we would have lost that T20. express bowling 1 Link to comment

In international and last IPL, he changed his anchor approach and is always looking to score. He is no Buttler, but him striking at 138 after 40 matches is commendable. HamHindustani
Despite failures, think Iyer should be persisted with. Don't see either Iyer or Hooda in final 11 for WT20 if Rahul is back Link to comment

But he grabbed his chances. I am still hopeful that Hooda will gets chances in this series. Edited August 1, 2022 by Chakdephatte Link to comment
rkt.india
Hooda is a more alround bat than Iyer in T20s. Hooda and Iyer both are of same u19 batch of 2014. I think Hooda has shown great improvement in his game recently. Suhaan, raki05 and Frustrated 3 Link to comment
