Jadeja was crucial for us in Australia. He does really well there. 

 

With Chalal already locked in we don't need another pure spinner in Aus. Jadeja could bat in the top 5 and also provide a few tight overs. No other player can fulfil this criteria right now.

No, but we have to depend less on his batting. DK will come up the order and KL down the order

Rohit, Pant, Kohli, SKY, KL, Pandya, Hooda/Axar,/Ashwin  Bhuvi, Arshadeep, Avesh, Chahal/Bishnoi

 

We will be fine without Jadeja in Asia cup, but he is needed in Australia. Read my previous post.

field like jaddu ?? he cant ...no one can

batting ?? he has been batting pretty well ..............axar is better against leggies

We have many replacements for Jadeja. Axar, Hooda and fav is Ashwin. There is no replacement for the one and only Avesh unless we go with 5 bowlers. Stupid squad selection

Axar recently has upped his batting.. but only issue is in pressure I am not sure if he can hold his shape and play conservatively like Jaddu did against pakistan.. Axar is more suited for the 5 ball 13 , 9 ball 16 kind of innings. Only good thing about his batting though is he hits straight and doesnt play cross batted shots.. and when he hits it stays hit and goes long..in terms of bowling his pace is much faster than Jaddu so right handers find him difficult to play.. but against left handers he becomes cannon fodder.. hetmyer was creaming him..

Jaddu is a good fielder...  But not irreplaceable.  He is no Fabian Allen.  I reckon Hooda Axar are quite good fielders.  Hooda covers the ground very quickly.

Axar will do fine in Asia cup in UAE, but can't replace Jadeja in Australia where we need a batting AR spinner. Jadeja is best in this regard right now. There's a reason why everyone in the TM is backing him.

Axar on present form is much better.

The problem with Jadeja is his inability to hit spin . In the last 2 years, he strikes at 82 against spin turning into him - leg break/SLA. If you cannot take on a positive match up like that, you shouldn't be batting during the middle overs.

Avesh should get dropped...  Ash + Axar will make up for Jaddu in batting depth.  I'd say bowling will get a boost.

Avesh should not play another game for India. I would pick Bishnoi over Avesh in that Pakistan game.
