Rohit and Kohli are still hands down the first names in the T20 X1

There is no one better when it comes to building an innings like Kohli and no one who can counter attack quality bowling like Rohit at the top.

 

Rahul is the perfect  bridge and hope he is consistent (not in a kings x1 kind of way) and we have the perfect mix.

 

Rest of the names at the current moment are not worth mentioning unless there is an emergency.

Voices asking them to be dropped were ridiculous. They don't understand there's a playing style other than bang bang from ball 1.

 

Also, they are still our best players of pace, hardly mistime anything.

The way Rohit went after these guys under pressure. Very few in world cricket can do that.

Next guys are Rutu and gill only and their own s/r are an issue

 

People talk about them getting out against swing- yea right as if kishen ,shaw can play it na ?? Even rutu against movement has struggled and gill has been struggling to against full ball in test

Its more about their intent and form than ability.

 

If they play like today more often, no complaints. But they dont specially KL

 

Issue of left arm seam is there too.

 

Still feel we need to seperate them a bit. Maybe SKY at 3. or Rahul at 4 with SKY/Pant opening

yea issue is their my point is anyone wud and it doesnt mean guys will half ability will play better

left armer swinging ball back in at that pace is danger to most right hander

watch rutu record against left arm seamers................he hasnt even played someone like shaheen or starc

Yeah they would have their own issue but once you see an issue you try to negate it.

 

Don't think Starc has played much vs this top 3. Usually there's Dhawan.

 

Maybe thats what we need. Leftie or someone whos shown he can play it.

3 world class batsmen firing in a T20 game should be more than enough usually for their team to win.

You can consistently get safe scores or therabouts with Kohli & Rahul but not enough to put match beyond opposition's reach.  

By the way I wouldn't include Rohit in this list, he gives us quick starts every game, if he stays long the match is done and dusted, I'd want him in the team.

Kohli's knock wsn't fast enough. 137 SR after batting till the end isn't excusable. KL only 140 SR as well.

cant fault him for that , he was loosing wkts at other end and he had to stay for end coz their was no DK . Needed someone good to play high pace hard lengths
