KL and Ashwin should be left out. May be one more chance for DK.

Ashwin is still ok as a utility cricketer. He is not a total hack at the lower order. Also his bowling lacks the zip but he is adequate.

shouldn’t  play in the future but in this team he has a spot over Chahal and Axar (in these conditions)

I will say KL, because he has the game just move him down the order. Move Kohli to open, on current form Kohli is miles ahead with handling quality pace. He can stem the fall of early wickets for us.

KL seems to have starting issues, going down will give him the freedom & not worry about starting the scoreboard or capitalizing PP overs.

Kohli. Ro-Ko the punching bags and rightfully so when things go well

On current form he & sky are the only ones who seem to have anything going for them. Why would you drop Kohli, todays shot would have easily flown over another day.

I wouldn’t but that’s the common sentiment to drop everyone over 30 and rightfully so in most cases except SKY

IF he scores against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe would you trust him in knockouts?

Depends on where he plays.

No trust in him as an opener against boult & southee. He is a walking wicket, especially against left arm swing bowling.

Wrong to put Hooda among them. He has not played long enough to be kept or dropped.

Nothing against Hooda but players like him will not get extended runs, they have to cash in on every opportunity they get.

That’s why I am asking if he should get another go as he is a fringe player who was tried out today to lengthen the batting.
