Rahul Dravid to be sacked!

Would not be a bad move if true (media tends to speculate) … and when Dravid was a reluctant coach anyways (BCCI asked him to be one even when he wasn’t looking to coach Team India iirc).

Need to confirm from other sources too but BCCI is looking for foreign coach.

Will be better if Mhambrey and co are also sacked.

I won't believe what I read as rumors - there have been a lot of them floating about.

what is needed is kicking out not just drabid but also the pathetic auxiliary staff like mhambrey

I dont think dravid is a terrible coach. I believe he wants to pick his own team but for obvious reasons he has limited authority. He was hired basically to be a puppet. If given the choice, I am sure dravid would pick the best players. Issues seem to stem from upper management who are power hungry and just like to dictate terms.

Making KL Rahul as wicket keeper when we had Kishan, Pant, Samson in the reserves is the final straw. That should have never happened.

he is actually a bad coach, but I agree it is being compounded and amplified by external interference.

I believe it's other way around. In Indian setup captain and coach are the most powerful and they get their team. As a mentor in IPL he had the same pattern of dropping a performing player next game for a random player and other such wild experiments.

Definitely so. But rahuls meek body language and attitude doesn't help. I think you either have it or you dont. Unfortunately. It will be hard to get mentally tougher. Same with kela etc.

Dint know he actually even coached in ipl? Then why did we even hire him oh wait. We know why. It all makes more sense now.

Rahul dravid is polite but not meek. He is assertive. Remember the declaration incident? He did that as a stand-in captain fgs.

Sorry he was mentor not coach but he was very involved as a mentor. His stint with RR was fine but with DD was batsh!t crazy.

Dravid should have resigned after the T20WC debacle. T20 is not his forte but what did he achieve in tests? We lost to SA, squandering a 1-0 lead. And lost the final test against England, blowing the chance to win a series there after a long time. What exactly is he staying on for? To pick more trundlers and washed up batsmen for the ODI WC? He brings nothing new to the table.

Get whoever you can,but don't interfere in matters involving dud seniors

Whoever comes in should weed out the oldies first across formats

Someone who bulids a new side keeping the next WCs in sight, enough of this trundler shyte

I wonder if there is a behind the scenes strategy to preserve premier fast bowlers for the IPL and to use strictly trundlers for international duty.

I doubt if there is so much foresight involved.

This should happen only after 2023 WC. A change now does not augur well with the WC so close.

drabid is too entrenched. I don't see him getting kicked out soon
