Vijy
gill at 3, pant (pure batter) at 4, sarfaraz at 5, sundar at 6 will be an excellent MO in future. here, I am assuming pant's keeping career is finished, but that he can make it back as pure batter. if not, I would like Iyer at 4 in SC and someone else at 4 overseas. Vijy
shaw is not a special talent since he has even more chinks than sehwag. with that being said, he should at least be given a fair run in T20s and perhaps ODIs Link to comment

Pant is not known as a good fielder in the outfield. Even when he debuted alongside Dhoni, his fielding efforts were mediocre. That's one advantage that Ishan Kishan or Sanju Samson carry over him. Pant is young and is a mentally tough kid, I really hope he bounces back from this setback stronger than ever. Link to comment

I will be very surprised if Pant makes it back at the same level performance wise before the accident. Very sad. Link to comment

Mesky99
Simon doull was absolutely right about gill being way superior than Shaw, a slightly higher backlight or longer flow of the bat made people think Shaw was special but he infact at times is a walking wicket, sad because this should have been sorted out by Mumbai coaches during his under age cricket period. Gill started performing after 2 years, Shaw hasn't had that backing. vijaydude 1 Link to comment
express bowling
Gill is going from strength to strength. 2 centuries in the last 2 IPL matches at high SRs ... and he is hitting pacers for 6s for fun in the death overs. Hitting 6s earlier too. Mosher, Vk1, Suhaan and 1 other 4 Link to comment

This was found out even in under-19 days. We could spot the looseness in Shaw's strokeplay even back then. Where as Gill had great sense of length and played accordingly. Link to comment

Naturally people like thrill, plus he was from Mumbai so that helped. raki05 1 Link to comment
express bowling
One of the best T20 innings I have ever seen. That too in a crucial knockout match. 129 off just 60 balls with 10 freaking 6s. Gill is special. Edited May 26 by express bowling Suhaan, Mosher, Sandz and 3 others 6 Link to comment
express bowling
It is not easy to find classical batsmen with awesome power. Classical batters who can hit 6s for fun. Gill is one of them. Loving his T20 batting !! singhvivek141, Mosher, raki05 and 3 others 6 Link to comment

Rohit won't relinquish his opening spot as he is the captain but Jaiswal can bat at 4 as Shreyas is injured. Mosher 1 Link to comment
