Cricket Australia uploaded it recently on their Channel.

Pakistan needed 43 in 37 Balls with 2 wickets in hand.

At 13.14 minutes,  a Young Afridi and Shoaib Malik ( still playing ) seen in the dressing room.

Think that LBW on the 2nd last ball was close.

Weak a** throw by the keeper on the final ball.

But overall what a choker effort in the end by India to let two tailenders take the game away.

Robin Singh the fighter showcasing his temperament in yet another match.

Srinath bowling his heart out and getting angry at Gangu's gaabdu in the slips.

Young Dravid and Gangu.

Tendulkar getting bowled on the inswinger - Waseem has often hinted that he felt this was the one chink in the great one's armor.

Ajit Agarkar nipping wickets in ODIs from batsmen who don't respect him - Inzamam with his not unusual brain-farts.

Yousuf Youhana strutting his 'cross' celebration - this was before he changed his faith and IIRC he said that it was because of his faith that he did not get the recognition in Pakistan that he deserved as a top class batsman.  And he may have a point.

Shoiab Chucktar before he got all roided up and huge.

Young Saqi - a legit  weapon in ODI cricket.

Have to say, this is probably one of the better Pakistan shirts that I remember seeing - flag colors, very classy looking with the white on the side.

These were the days when in spite of possessing the best batsman in the world, and plenty of talent around him, the Indian team just couldn't figure out how to put it together to finish those clutch wins.  The lack of depth in bowling was an issue, but perhaps the temperament and ability to execute as a unit was the bigger issue.

These were also the days when Greenbros used to have that swagger about them, and expected to win against India.  In many ways post 1999 WC was the beginning of the end for that team's competitiveness at the highest levels of cricket.

A real throwback - thank you @javier26 for posting this.  Nostalgic.

Mehidy hasan and Fiz partnership takes the cake. Thatt is the ultimate choke job by Hahul lol Put down a catch even with gloves

At least Mehidy is a legit batter and Bangaldesh didn't have to worry about balls remaining. Here we managed to mess up against Saqlain and Waqar requiring > 6 rpo.

Indeed, Mehidy had the luxury of taking his time. He still had to take calculated risks and retain the strike on the final ball. But the intensity during the India BD match was nowhere closer to India Pakistan contests during the early 2000s or the 90s. Most Indian fans were taking BD series as bunch of Trial Matches. India Pakistan was an absolute pressure cooker situation.

Chasing 7 RPO in the last 6 overs with only two wickets left takes some doing. India could have bowled tight, some dot balls and could have taken the match out of Pakistan's reach, even if they didn't take wickets. But the Pakistani tailender batsmen continued to get boundaries and reached there comfortably in the end.

If i remember correctly , this match was a part of India, Australia and Pakistan Tri series in Australia and the results for India throughout the series were disastrous.

India won something like 1 out of 8 matches played . Lost 3 out of 4 matches  against Pakistan and 4 out of 4 against Australia.

From 1986 onwards they had a huge psychological domination over us . Victories were very rare in the 90s .

India's first win against Pakistan in Pakistan in a ODI was similar to this. Rajesh chuahan deposited their most threatening bowler in the stands and silenecd the crowd. Robin singh put his hand up. Same way Kanitkar smashed Saqlain for 4 to clinch India's first ever 300 plus succesful chase.

They only came when main Pakistani players were busy playing county so second tier played in those matches.

Aussie were destroying everyone. Pakistan was only winning against Bharat and losing to Australia. They did win ODI series against Australia in Australia few years later what was the second only under the roof ODI series. Shoaib Akhtar was beast in that series. Australia hosted South Africa for first ever indoor ODI series year before.

Would be interested to see if he actually did say that. He was stand in captain for one test as Yohana, recognition of his seniority

In any case he hit his prime/ achieved "greatness" after conversion . He had that record breaking year etc

BTW I was looking at the speed of some of Pakistani super Phaast t bowler .....phast waqar was bowling between 109 to 130 ....Phaast Wasim was bowling also around same seen few balls and it was 130ish. Shoaib Akhtar was bowling 139-142. If you believe Pakistani and some Indian Akhtar never bowl below 145 and Akram and Younis even at the time of retirement were bowling around 135-140.

What did I say? I have seen Waqar bowling in 130's in early 90's. Some of the matches did display bowling speeds even then.

No doubt Wasim, waqar were great bowler but it has to do with their bowling skill , swing , bounce variation. But as per Pakistani and some manjarekar type Indians only thing they hype them for thembeing Phaast. if you look at the video posted waqar speed looks pathetic than Sandeep Sharma , Wasim is a different beast but his speed was also like tired Bhuvi. Shoaib is literally bowling 140ish but as per @Adamant he never bowls below 148 even in test.

Yup, even @the don for that matter used to argue that Akhtar only bowled under 140 if he's bowling slower ones.
Akram and Waqar were medium fast to fast medium, it was their banana swing courtesy of "reverse swing" which used to cause trouble. Once the ICC rules were toughened, suddenly the phasst bowling powerhouse's wiring got short circuited thereby producing faulty products one after the other till date.
