Such non sense only works among “fellow like minded Indians”, who pat each others back (as no one else will) to justify their cheating behaviour. As for pitches in Aus, out there venues support different type of cricket: pace at Perth & Brisbane, spin at Sydney (yes, spin in Sydney), etc. They do not “doctor” pitches. If you can open other views then be person with condescending views other will be more open to discussion. Not everything in west is the best. Below is the Perth pitch where we were rolled a green pitch in 2018. Playing spin requires skill unless you again think only bounce and swing are skills. India always had a history of spinning pitches. If foreign team can’t upskill they have to blame themselves. Australian team players played IPL for almost decade and still can’t play spin. So much for being good at sports. Edited February 13, 2023 by gattaca coffee_rules 1
wanted_desi Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Why do all these visiting team cry so much? It is one of the reasons they lose so badly. Sore Losers!

For e.g. after India lost the series to Aus at home in 2004/5, it turned Mumbai into a rank turner in a desperate attempt to win a test in the series - Link Rank turners are prepared by leaving the pitch unprepared or selective preparation. A match i remember well. This was what actually happened back then. Mumbai pitch was Ponting's fault: curator

So much for being good at sports. First of all, there is no equivalence to a green pitch. On a green pitch, a batsman can come forward or backward depending upon the length of the ball. Swing (where the ball moves in air) is not dependent on pitch (In a pink ball test, the ball can move more under the lights). On a rank turner, it is relatively difficult to be either on front foot or the back foot (additionally, there can be uneven bounce). There is a difference b/w a track that supports spin and rank turners, which are prepared by leaving the track unprepared or using selective preparation (doctoring). There is also a difference b/w test and T20s. IPL has all types of pitches. Rank turners are rare apart from places such as Chennai, which is not rated that high for its pitch. Can teams practice on the same pitches ? if yes then Aus team should be allowed to practice if no then whats the fuzz, also whats the protocols for ground staff ?? Are they required to water the pitch after the match is over then why the Fuzz ?? Aus team might have asked the board but Ground staff may not be aware of this, was the news relayed to the ground staff ? There are so many ifs here why Aus Media are grilling Ground staff over this ?? nobody knows the full details, and are ready to buy the narrative of "fox sports" a garbage organization known to not care about truth or facts when it comes to clickbaiting and one-eyed "reporting".
Number Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Are people really that naive to think we can't do it purposely despite our track record of taking things to extreme ? We gave Australian team green tops before 2016-17 for practice matches ffs.
Nikhil_cric Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Poor if true and the VCA staff had agreed to let them practise

They were good batting wickets, grass in India usually means the soil is bound for longer & pitch will not disintegrate! If you really want green tops here you would need to play near the peak of winter up north or just after monsoons again in places where temps can drop rapidly! The stupid *s i.e. Oz fans on BF or reddit are clueless as to how green tops in India South Asia work! I was saying the same in case of Bangla second test, grass is there just to bind the surfaces. Texan Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Surely, there has got to be some protocol for whether someone can use a pitch on which a Test match has been played on. The pitch is not the same as a practice pitch. I haven't heard anyone requesting this before, but if there is a protocol for such things, it should be applied. Practice pitches are provided to both teams. What if Indian team also requested that they practice on this pitch? What would the ground's management do? There is only one match pitch and both team cannot practice at the same place at the same time. Did Australia provide such match pitches to us when we toured there? There has got to be a protocol and a reciprocity agreement in place if such a request should be honored. coffee_rules 1

Aus is a joke in footbal and mediocre in rugby. Nz south africa and even England constantly pummel them. They are good in rugby league which is played seriously by exactly 2 nations. Bute yes they are a champion in cricket. Terrific at using sand paper and other accessories to gain an unfair advantage. Sure. Hockey is played seriously by what? 4 teams. Indian players get paid maybe 500$ a month? India has some talent. We are corrupt and that's why we are behind. Yes no doubt it. We also have limited amount of resources and poor income per capita. We also have no sports culture due to lack of resources. coffee_rules and rollingstoned 2

What are you talking about? Looks like you haven't watched Test cricket in Sydney in a while and appear to be blindly trusting what the Aussies told you. Read this article about how "spin friendly" SCG has been of late: https://www.theroar.com.au/2019/01/03/is-the-scg-still-a-spin-friendly-track-or-is-it-all-just-a-myth/ Quote Here is a statistical report on the average of bowling averages of the top five wicket taking spin-bowlers at the Sydney Cricket Ground: Until 1980s = 21.47 1981 – 1999 = 23.58 2000 – 2009 = 30.62 Since 2011 = 38.64 Two of the current day bests, Nathan Lyon and Ravi Ashwin, average 48.13 and 80.80 respectively at the SCG since 2011. And why do you think pitches in India that support spinners are "doctored". Pitches in India always traditionally supported spinners or were flat batting tracks. Its not like we suddenly turned green bouncy pitches into spin friendly ones. Of course, if you listen to too much Aussie media propaganda, you will start believing that we "doctored" pitches, but that's not the case. We have always had spin friendly pitches in our cricket history. Sandz and coffee_rules 2

They assume every Indian is the same and are jealous to see an Indian with better physical attributes than oneself. It's disgusting to see. Indians come in all kinds of shape and sizes. Pitch doctoring is associated with Saffers & Kiwis who make green mambas for Subcontinent teams but make decent flat pitches when Gora teams tour. Your other points are spot on though. It's unlikely we Indians will ever understand sports. Lol SA changed the nature of third test pitch. It was supposed to get harder to bat but pitch got flatter after each passing day. Excellent pitch doctoring. That is like phd in doctoring. Atleast in India you are made aware that it's going to turn. Just prepare to play spin and bounce. Edited February 13, 2023 by speedracer
