Popular Post vvvslaxman
More than Jaiswal, Rutu this guy is the bigger missing piece in LOi set up especially with Pant missing. He gives me the Dhoni vibe. Also shades of Raina.if he can replicate his IPL performance in internationals there is nothing like it. Gollum, tweaker, deepdynamo and 7 others 4 6 Link to comment
tweaker
Ideally the players who are in good form, have performed when given a chance should be selected and seniors should be rested. Jaiswal,Rinku,Tilak, should be selected soon express bowling, raki05 and Mosher 3 Link to comment
Norman
Why "fast tracked" though? He has been performng consistently in domestics and now had a breakthrough IPL season , so he pretty much deserves the place in the squad with Iyer and Pant out. maniac, tweaker, raki05 and 1 other 4 Link to comment
Norman
On a side note , it's good to see the plethora of young left handed bats we are getting now. A welcome change from the post 2013 period where Dhawan and later Pant were the only constant lefties in the side. One of the main reasons behing our trophy drought.... singhvivek141, raki05 and Gollum 3 Link to comment

Not just LHBs, they are all not competing for same spot. Will be uniformly spread in the batting line up...Jaiswal as opener, Tilak/Sai at #4 say, Rinku as finisher. Our greatest ODI team had Gambo as opener or #3, Yuvi at #4/#5 and Raina at #7. raki05, singhvivek141, Norman and 1 other 4 Link to comment
Gollum
Knowing BCCI, will be a semi-miracle of one among Jaiswal, Rinku, Tilak play in 2027 WC. BacktoCricaddict, Austin 3:!6, nevada and 1 other 2 1 1 Link to comment

Yes his strike rate is low against spin. 110 or something. But not a bunny. If anything Shubman Gill has to work on his game against spin where the ball actually turns. He just runs straight at the ball. Ball misses his blade much like Kohli these days. He also had same issues in Bangladesh. raki05 1 Link to comment

Want to see both of him and Tilak in the MO going forward What else they are waiting for? Others are top order option, that too is equally needed to be looked after Decent technique, ability to bat at high SR in MO is we have starved for so so long since Yuvi,Raina days raki05 and Mosher 2 Link to comment

Indian batting is in safe hands atleast in limited overs. Once guys like Patidar comes back we can do the same in Tests. Wish they had tried Sarfraz in one of the series against low key teams. raki05 1 Link to comment

maniac
Yes. Rinku, Jaiswal have to be in all loi squads and in Jaiswal’s case all 3 formats. if they can’t make it to XI (Jaiswal should) they should at least be in the 15-16 in every squads raki05 1 Link to comment
maniac
Every World Cup squad in the past had at least 1 promising rookie/inexperienced player 1983- Ravi Shastri 1987: Manjrekar??? 1992: Ajay Jadeja, Praveen Amre 1996: Venkatesh Prasad 2003: Parthiv Patel 2011: Ashwin 2019: Vijay Shankar I think Jaiswal will make it to the final wc squad if he is fit. He is the cream of the crop as far as young promising rookies are concerned. He should be playing the WTC final in an ideal and fair world but won’t happen. raki05 1 Link to comment

I like players with great positive attitude. Jaiswal, Rinku, Tilak fall under this category. There is no tentativeness. Ruturaj for all his talent is a very nervous starter. We can build the team around Shubman Gill. Identify the core. In order to do we have to "fasttrack" this seniors "out" of the side. singhvivek141 and raki05 2 Link to comment
Stan AF
If there's anything I learnt from all these years of IPL, is to stop writing international blank cheques based on IPL form. So many horrible disasters Link to comment

So many horrible disasters Combination of other domestic stats and iPL. The way we should look at it, look for roles rather than volume. Shortlist the players that fit the roles. Then pick from them. Rinku definitely has a case for finisher cum stabilizer. Link to comment
