I mean everyone including him knew the ball coming in will get him out, he initially played those balls well. Defending them but he started playing all balls as “the one coming in”. Afridi gave him 2 balls that went away with the angle…he played them as the “one coming in” and missed, then the third ball came in and and he was all over the place… AGAIN

 

you could see in his face when he got out like “damn,.. I fell for it again”

Apart from a section of his fanboys and his PR team, no one really cares if Rohit has a mental block or not ... Many expect him to fail more often than not in high pressure games regardless

Indian fans don't even think about Kuldeep cleaning up Babar twice in that 2018-19 period when he made him look like a club level tail ender but these cockroaches do nanga naach when their bowlers do it. Happened with Junaid khan vs Kohli, Amir vs Rohit and now with SSA. 

 

Inferiority complex is strong with these cockroaches.

There is a novelty factor about bowlers. Pakistanis hype them in this period and start expecting moon from them. Once the novelty wears off, the lean phases start, they kick them out.

Junaid faded away in oblivion after a few years and he was a very good bowler. Shaheen compared to him is a condition dependent one trick pony.

Didn't Rohit score 140 something in the 2019 WC game? These two countries hardly play, and Rohit has declined in the last couple of years. Can't read too much into this.

36 balls 27 runs 1 dismissal

 

Rohit vs Shaheen in  T20

 

6 ballls 4 runs 1 dismissal

 

Basically just 2 dismissals.  MENTAL BLOCK? Both happened reecntly in swinging condition. It is a credit that should be given to Rohit rather than Shaheen because Rohit has gotten out to a lot of left arm seamers.

Rohit vs Boult in LOI is more damaging. 7 dismissals against boult at anverage of 20 or something.

Rohit Sharma has issues with any left armer who can bring the ball in.

This is a technical deficiency.

Shaheen was not there in 2019 WC but still a 32 year old batsman in 2019 is 36 years old today and time catches up with everyone.

 

It is not mental with him - it is physical. The eye hand coordination has declined and at the top level even a small decline in that can mean a player no longer can perform against top opposition.

His high back lift makes him an ideal candidate for being bowled/lbw against left armer swinging it in at 135+ speed.  Even express right arm pacers who can bowl in-swing cause lot of problems for him.  After having gone through continued failures against such deliveries all over his intl career (16 yrs), I thought he would change his batting stance yesterday while facing shaheen.  But was not to be.  And result was exactly the same. Luckily, for him,  shaheen could not perfectly land that in- swinger in his first 2 overs and bowled a couple of wides down the leg side.  Otherwise it would hv been far more embarassing for Fatman, with another 1st Ball Duck.

Yes smoked Pakistan in the last few ODIs with 2 centuries and a 50. Ek wicket kya le liya, World's Beshtt and all. Tumlog ko aukat kal pata chal jaati had u batted on that wicket. Bach Gaye BC!!

yes thats how its is. Otherwise pace is not an issue for him if pitch is not doing much also he is not younger anymore. Otherwise in his young days he smoked starc for sixes effortlessly. There is no mental block or something he is not at his best with edge catching up with him. Even now if pitch would be on slightly flatter side he would tear up the sofa. Yesterday also the ball he got out any young english batter would have smoked that for six.

Yes and pakistani commi like Makkar younis and Badtmeez raza thinking as if they have been robbed by rain…. BC Afg  se toh convincingly jeet nahi patey aur battey itni badi badi.

He was okay with new ball. With old ball he was bound to get wickets this time as India had to take some chances and also India's tail was longer.

Jadeja didnt get out playing a shot, even pandya was decieved by a slower one. None of the batters were out slogging against shaheen tbf.
