Downtown
Here's a list of Pakistani YouTube channels that seem to focus more on Indian cricket than their own: Sawera Pasha: I've noticed Sawera Pasha and her husband, Syed Ali Imran, are always singing praises for Indian cricket, but when it comes to their own country's cricket and players, it's like they can't find a single positive thing to say. They host these live sessions on YouTube right after every match, and it's like a non-stop parade of admiration for Indian cricket. It's mind-boggling! I mean, Ali Imran goes on and on, endlessly criticizing their own board, players and cricket, as if he's determined to find fault in everything. It's like he's got blinders on when it comes to India's performance. Even on those rare occasions when India doesn't do so well, you won't hear a peep of criticism from him. It really makes you wonder if this is all some sort of strategy to attract an Indian audience and their money. It's like they've made it their mission to cater exclusively to Indian cricket fans, and it's hard not to feel frustrated about it. Don't you think there should be more balanced coverage and support for their own cricket as well? Salman Bhatt: This guy used to be involved in match-fixing, and now suddenly, he's become a self-proclaimed expert on all things Indian cricket. It's like he's had a complete change of heart, and it's not hard to see why. He probably noticed a significant increase in his followers and viewership, mostly from Indian fans. It's frustrating because it feels like he's trying to pander to the Indian audience to boost his popularity. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's great to see someone turn their life around, but it's hard to ignore the fact that his newfound love for Indian cricket seems a bit too convenient. It makes you wonder if it's all just a calculated move to ride the wave of Indian viewership and gain more attention. It's not just one or two channels, there are a few more Pakistani YouTube channels that seem to have a thing for Indian cricket while not holding back on criticizing their own country's cricket. It's honestly quite frustrating to see this trend. Catch and Bat with Kamran Akmal Caught Behind Shoib Akthar What's frustrating is that their primary audience seems to be in India, and they're raking in clicks and revenue from Indian viewership. I get it, it's a business, and Indian viewership can be lucrative. But what really gets under my skin is that even our Indian cricket discussion channels don't resort to the tactics these Pakistani channels are using. I mean, they don't immediately go live right after a match with flashy titles and thumbnails featuring Indian cricketers. It's a trend that's growing in Pakistan, and I won't be surprised if more Pak ex-cricketers jump on the bandwagon, aiming for that Indian money. But do you really have to stoop so low as to consistently put your own country down in every video just for the sake of clicks, viewership, and Indian money? It's genuinely disheartening, and I find it quite disgusting. I mean, isn't there a better way to be successful on YouTube without compromising your integrity and constantly criticizing your own nation? What are your thoughts on this matter? Frustrated
It's all about viewership and money. Ind being a huge country helps them get more viewership. cricketrulez 1 Link to comment
jf1gp_1
I have watched most of them (didnt know akmal also had one) but i doubt you can watch most for more than 10 mins. All are bad and no different than Indian youtubers. There is one exception Rashid latif, found him to be balanced and logical. Link to comment

Lol Sawera is a TV sports host on some channels in Pak. Their channels never praise India. These YT channels are just there for views & money. In a bankrupt country it is good source of income. Indian people are gullible to consume all of it. They do some Kohli bhakti & Kohli fan army watches their YT shows. It's pathetic overall. cricketrulez 1 Link to comment

Actually i dont like that numan fellow. Chap is toxic, never speaks positive about anyone. Every now and then when there is a good game, i want to hear latif. His takes are very different. Zero_Unit
India has a huge population all over the world. What they portray on their channel may not be what they truely think/believe. Views matters on YouTube because views = money. raki05 1 Link to comment

Aside from couple of teams, they think rest are peasants. I remember seeing one of their show where they viewed Zim as like some country who is lucky to even be on the same field as Pak. This guy is a grade a a$$hole. Link to comment

But have seen few clips. Dr Nauman probably lives in Birtaniya or he has some treatment going on there... Latif is a regular. Indian Cricket Youtubers are worse though. No knowledge whatsoever. Our Ex cricketers are well off so they don't need to beg for these sorta things contrary to guys like Kaneria, Akmal, Inzi Rameez Link to comment

Among many annoying things that these fraudsters keep doing, the most ridiculous thing which stands out is that they always cry foul on Chewal's exclusion. Be it WC or Asia cup games or even in useless bilaterals. As if he is some Warne or Murli. LOL. I stopped watching these losers as soon as I observed this pattern. Nikhil_cric
Because far too many Indians love validation . Especially from, and I hate to say this, from those who are lighter skinned than they are . You can see this cringeworthy behaviour everywhere. In colleges where there are exchange students, in the corporate world when talking to foreign clients, from our cricket commentators etc. It's a horrible thing to say but it's the truth. It's not limited to Indians.. Entire subcontinent seeks gora validation. We are told from the beginning they are superior. I have seen Pakistani watching & giving views to some Indian Youtubers praising Pakistan. Ofc Indian population is bigger & rich to afford Internet so it gets highlighted more. Pakistanis suck up to goras even more than us. They do OTT stuff when foreigners visit them. Low self esteem is a cultural problem.. vvvslaxman
I am not sure how sincere they are. There may be some like we do whenever our players reach the rock bottom. We even hype our arch enemies to take pot shots at our own team. May be Asia cup humiliation gave them a reality check. It is funny to see Pak fans appreciating INdia for going in with specialists instead of bits and pieces. Truth is Indian selectors don't go outside "friend's circle" hence we have been stuck with these guys. Given a choice we would bring in different players. raki05 1 Link to comment
Prabhdeep Singh
It is all about £$, all the cricket related traffic is from India and Indian Diaspora around the world, so these Youtubers make their money due to the Indian consumer. India does have many skilful players (Maybe a bit lazy & mentally fragile in big games sometimes) so it is right they are praised. Negative press always sells more so praising India is in a way is Negative for Pakistan society, they are brainwashed in their education system that anything Indian is bad. The harsh reality is India has been better at Cricket since 2003 and odd wins here or there is not going to change this. Link to comment
Number
I like Salman Butt's views quite balanced. He doesn't indulge in unnecessary bashing. Wassay and Iffi are more of an entertainment than Cricket talk. raki05 1 Link to comment
