Hope they don't name it Amit Shah Cricket Stadium this time. Like how they changed Motera.

Will be named after Mahant Yogi Adityanath where all the prominent matches like WC Finals, IPL Finals , India Pakistan Matches and Day Night Tests etc will be hosted in the future like what is happening with Motera Stadium now.

Point is that Eastern UP/Bihar despite having a huge population doesn't have a proper cricket stadium.

Build a world class sports academy along with the stadium/ sports complex. Will be a massive boon to budding sportspersons in Poorvanchal and Eastern Bihar.

 

Hopefully they keep the fence to fence field size dimensions of 175 mtrs*160 mtrs. unlike Motera which is 165 mtrs.*138 mtrs. WIll ensure at least 70 mtr. square boundaries and 75 mtr. straight ones.

It will probably be named after Lal Bahadur Shastri or Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya.

Naming rights for any stadium  in India should be sold  for every 10-15 years and used for paying for the stadium costs.This way it reduces the burden of tax payers.Businesses would be happy to pay for it.

 

What is the point in naming after a politician .

This. We are so bloody backward. Name the stadium after sponsors and sell those rights in an open bid.

 

Even friggin Rameez Raja was making those decisions . 

 

How are we so behind in such things? 

 

It's mind boggling his incompetent BCCI are in so many things.
