^^ Parents are at fault....one of my Mamas lives in Australia, to my surprise, both his children aged 15-20 born and raised in Australia, speak Hindi almost as good as they speak English , Well versed with Indian culture etc ...it is upto the parents to teach the important stuff....if the parents themselves are chews, then foreign raised child could be a gone case.

Yes, thanks to people who say these things;

- Religion is private and you practice it at home

- Hinduism is so open architecture, you do not have to go to a temple and still be a Hindu, we don’t have to congregate every Friday or Sunday like some people 

- We don’t teach religion at home and let our children choose their faith when they turn 18

 

There Is widespread indoctrination of young minds in ideologies in colleges and schools who don’t have a sound base at home. EqualityLabs is one such organization that spreads this thinking that Hinduism is oppressive and all our festivals are celebration of oppression, slavery etc. 
 

Education begins at home, liberalism teaches kids to separate themselves from home/family as it is oppressive. Ab bughto Riddhi’s parents

I don’t know what the parents did though. She calls Navaratri to be oppressive. Clearly her family follows traditions. There was a twitter post from saying she doesn’t want to stay home during the festival. 
 

Indoctroniation is happening at schools especially the democratic dominated cities. California and New York has lot of indoctrination.

Interesting snippet in the second video in court says “public defender pleaded not-guilty on behalf of her”. It shows that she didn’t get a fancy highly paid defense lawyer employed by her parents or well wishers terrorist friends, but a public defender on taxpayers dime!  
 

yes, she’s being made an example of by the judiciary, low hanging fruit with no organization or minority NAACP OR Islamic organization backing her. This will never happen to other minorities in US for sure

death threats, when uttered clearly by an adult, being passed off as a 'figure of speech' is a serious breach of human life on security grounds. Uttering death threats is a crime and it should be. If someone says 'you should be killed and we will come for you', i will take it very seriously - serious enough to shoot that person dead and plead self defence.

Apparently Nupur Sharma deserved what she got. Backlash plus had to go underground to keep her head intact. But this girl needs to be defended by Indian govt because it's our diaspora. 

 

If this state can't protect its own citizens why would they fight for those who are not.

This is true. BUT I am glad it happened. This will be wake up call to Indian American community. Hindu community especially. They don't have the room to offend.
