Are we overestimating NZ ? They have only beaten 3minnows+ Eng so far. They may still miss a semi spot..in theory

They need to win 2/5 games here to qualify for the semis without NRR being a factor.

 

They have exhausted their minnow games.

I have no doubt outside England/NZ  like conditions  - we should hammer Kiwis 7/10 games.

 

Was just speaking from the perspective of semi-final spots.

 

NZ is not guaranteed based on their perfect scorecard - which they achieved by playing minnows - Ban, Netherlands, Afghanistan.

We miss a thing called captaincy here. They are ultra-disciplined and meticulous in their planning and execution. One  of the reason why they punch above the weight world cup after world cup. Look how well they managed just with 3 specialist bowlers against England in the first match.

Australia started off well with the bat too...  And with the ball.

In 2019 WC semis against us - they got to bowl in DREAM overcast conditions in England on the second day during our batting - they themselves batted in very different conditions

 

ICC Test championship against us - we faced them in their home turf like conditions.

 

On subcontinent like conditions...we should crush them.

Have to win both their matches against Pak and Eng....if NZ lose 1  and win 1 after the SA loss,  they are going to be in a NRR dogfight with Pak ( assuming Pak wins both their remaining games )
