If he continues giving fast starts in semis and finals (despite not scoring big), he should get MOT period.

Rohit has been more impactful than Kohli for sure. Shami, Reaching, Warner, Maxwell, De Kock will be the other contenders depending on who wins the tournament

Yes, Rohit has been amazing in giving us blazing starts and unsettling the opposition early in the game. Need him to do this two more times to win us the cup.

If we win the WC then it will be Kohli even though our bowlers will play a major role in the playoffs.

If Kohli goes past Sachin's record, he will get it. Not just because of the volume of runs but also the quality of runs.

 

He has made 2x50 + 1x100 vs the other 3 semifinalists. 85 + 95 + 101* = 281 runs out of 594 so far. 2 of those scores under serious pressure.

 

Rohit, QdK, Rachin, Shami, Zampa have all been brilliant but if the record is broken, I don't see it being much of a debate.

It's just the way he hits and takes on the bowling. A bit like Rohit but Marsh really tonks them. If he plays a big one in KO, he will be a contender
