All these guys will be 37, 38 or even older when the next World Cup comes around. So, I don't see any point in playing any of them in any more ODI games. Probably Shami as well. Despite the good performances from Shami, he will likely be too old when the next WC comes around and its time we groom some other bowlers.

The only way these guys are winning an ICC tournament is when ICC renames a bilateral series as ICC tournament only after they win it.

Correct, add Ashwin, SKY & KL as well.

These guys are mentally incapable..KL was missing balls behind the wickets like anything.

 

Go for a reboot and let's hope we would win something by 2029 or 2031.

How many more stat chasing records do we have to tolerate mental midget Kohli for?

It's seriously nauseating to watch him compile one stat after another without contributing anything significant to team glory.

We need to invest in players with good temperament for big matches. Shubman Gill doesn't appear to fit the bill.

 

I think we need to try players like Jaiswal, Tilak Varma and Rinku Singh. Hopefully, at least some of them will have that big match temperament.

I agree with the Revamp and moving on from the seniors part. 

 

But the problem is that it was the Seniors who performed for us in this WC and the youngsters who let us down. Rohit and Kohli did great throughout. Shami outbowled Siraj and even Jadeja out bowled Kuldeep.

 

Had youngsters like Gill, Iyer and SKY played their part in the final along with Rohit & Kohli, then we would have won.

Need to step up in big games. These guys fail repeatedly. This time they did half good as it was at home.

 

Need a new core for 2027 and none of these guys look like they can make it. So no point playing useless ODIs now.

Yeah we should plan in ODIs with the WC 2027 SA in mind. 

 

However with the next T20 WC in just six months time. We could use someone like Rohit who is in great hitting form. We don't have a better six hitter than him atm.

Nah we saw what he did last year in WT20.

 

His fitness is not worth it.
