Kishan is a Hack and SKY isn't and a safer option? I give up - as I think you are really trolling here.

They made this fool the CAPTAIN do you understand what that signals to the country? It's a huge middle finger to say they don't care how someone performs they will just pick based on seniority.

SKY played the worst knock by a finisher in a world cup final in history. And you want him to play as finisher again in T20's.

No wonder Indian cricket will never win main tournaments. You have fans like you who will support a player based on purely stats rather than clutch performances.

. You like everyone is confusing formats. This is t20 for god sake. Who would you make the captain out of the 15 tell me. You consider gaikwad a better t20 player than SKY. STICK TO FORMATS. ODI has no bearing on T20.

The batting looks good, which is a positive.

The pool of good T20 pace bowlers is limited: Mohsin had a good SMAT and has good IPL in the past and would have been a good pick. Kaverappa had a decent SMAT and has good T20 record. Would have had those two instead of Mukesh and Avesh. Another to consider was Atit Sheth has a good T20 record including recent SMAT and can bat, but no IPL experience

Avesh and Mukesh are much better red ball bowlers than white... at least Avesh has a decent strike rate, Mukesh has 37 wickets in 42 T20s, ER of 10.5 in 10 IPL matches

Mayank Yadav would have been an exciting pick but maybe needs experience.

We are not a good T20 side. Let us face it. We rely on foreigners to finish games. India has zero finishers in death overs. That is why we even backed DK in the first place with nobody in the domestic. Rinku has finally shown some promise. We need to see at the highest level

Is Samson officially out of consideration in all formats?

And where are the fast bowlers? No Umran Malik, Tyagi? What has Mukesh Kumar done in any format? Other than filling in for the Kumar quota

Our bowling stocks really are thin and overrated. Shami and Siraj really were the best bowlers in IPL.

IPL stats are exceptionally misleading.

Mukesh Kumar is very accurate but just doesn't have enough pace or height to trouble the best consistently.

Im glad they have backed Prasidh.  If Prasidh bowls with a fair bit of accuracy , he'll be extremely useful.

Sick and tired of watching wayward bowling by Siraj throughout the World Cup and by Bumrah in the knockouts.

All this hype about pace and movement is overrated if you can't have a pace trio or at least the opening pair bowl those tight groupings of deliveries upfront and build pressure.

Hope Rinku and Jitesh get to play every game. Disappointed Kuldip Sen and Harshit Rana were not selected. Don't have any faith in Avesh, Mukesh, Prasidh and Axar.

Sen and Rana should be tried in ODIs, give them some confidence there T20 could be hard to make a debut

Rinku yes, Jitesh also

His time has passed now but I wish Tewatia was given a go at least in Bi Lateral T20Is over the last couple of years. Does not bowl enough though and the substitute rule has made that even worse

i thought they would try him in this T20 series (in the past he was in ODI team during a T20 WC year and T20 team in WC ODI year)
Isn't this build up for next year WC? Are we look at this as the pool of players?

How time changes! We were struggling to have more than 1 decent lefty in the team not too long ago.

Now we have Yashasvi, Tilak, Ishan, Pant, Rinku, Sundar, Axar, Jadeja as the options.

We should have a competition of left handers XI vs right handers XI

Axar, Jadeja and Sundar are not options for a specialist middle order batting position. I'm sure we've learned that much over the last 15 years.

The bowling attack looks so poor. India has always been a mediocre T20 side because of poor bowling options and will remain so with this side. Only return of Bumrah and Hardik may strengthen the bowling.

Poor team selection i would say, they are timid to try new better players who have done well in the SMAT.

When are they going to try  Riyan parag / Abhishek sharma ( both are  a better alternative to Washington ). Is avesh khan really the only option ? Both have the ability to win you matches with explosive batting, bowling will have to be groomed, anyways washington doesn’t inspire any confidence & even maxwell bowls well than washi as an offspinner

We could have tried Mayank Yadav who has had an excellent season with white ball.

The way Anmolpreet & Nihal wadhera have played one of them could have been given a go ahead in the middle order.

So, our worst ODI batter after having sucked balls in most WC games (incl. the final) gets a standing ovation from the TM the following day and is handed over the T20 captaincy. :hatsoff:

There is no accountability. It is all I scratch your back, you scratch mine. Disgusting.

They rewarded the peerless KL a little while ago with a VC spot after a  similar non-performance.
