"Make up strike rate" - MSD's classic strategy.  Jadeja also does this a lot. Tuk t uk till 19th over or 49th over and hit a 4 or 6 to make it look god.

This is a 2nd string attack. Their 2nd string is miles behind their first choice pace attack. 

 

But yeah, an ideal batting lineup should have depth and left-right combinations. India had neither at the World Cup despite the top 5 proving to be of a very high quality.

Helps in a chase sometimes but mostly a failed strategy.
