Considering their budget and the types of players they wanted, RCB picks were ultimately alright .

 

Alzarri has the pace + high release point , Dayal is a left armer etc. Lockie maybe for the middle overs enforcer role.

 

They should have bid for Coetzee who they probably could have got cheaper than Alzarri

 

Mo Bobat +Freddie Wilde have brought an English white ball squad construction ethic with variety in the attack

 

Issue is more about existing players and how they play.

Sudarshan is a weak T20 player. Rizvi is a big hitting middle order bat. Rizvi is a teen prodigy from UP.

Rizvi is also an age group product. He was a huge contender for 2022 u19 wc but couldn't get in due to age cut off. Bawa as a batsman isn't as good as Rizwi. Rizwi is India potential.

Rizvi for 8 crores is still bonkers lol Come on. That guy hasn't proved anything at higher level. Sudarshan played bazball cricket even in ranji trophy.  Gautam sometime back got 9 crores. He hardly played for CSK. From time to time these teams back guys with money more than they are worth.

They have increased bouncer limit to 2 maybe thats why.

Even if Starc plays all games, the maximum number of matches is 14 league +2 playoffs + 1 final = 17 per team.

 

So he will bowl 68 overs, i.e., 408 delieveries.

 

24.5 crore per season for 408 deliveries is Rs.6,00,490 per delivery.

If KKR don't reach the playoffs, he bowls only 56 overs or 336 deliveries at Rs.7,29,166 per delivery.

 

Assuming he doesn't get to bat in any game.
