Better than likes of Prasidh, Navdeep Saini and many others as we had mentioned. We probably win the 1st Test if we had Akash Deep instead of Prasidh. In Eng's 1st innings in the 1st Test, the ball was moving with clouds overhead. Akash Deep would've made life hell for Eng batters. Instead we played useless Prasidh

Seam presentation   THere is something called Test match length. He consistently hits that.  Crawley being taller and standing outside converted them into half vollies. Moment he was up against others that length worked.  He did not veer away from that length unlike prasdham

Really happy to see this underdog bowler, who had a torrid time in Aus despite bowling quite well, tasting some success today!!

He was sh!t in BGT.  Rightly dropped. Yes, he has taken 2 wickets so far.  But I think it's too early to judge him.

He was dropped in NZ series because our *ing TM prepared turners & still picked 5 bowlers, 2 of them pacers

As long as the ball swings or nibbles off the pitch, his length will be ideal...

Bowled well, but still not at the same level as he did in his debut match, he was bowling 140 and  obtaining proper seam movement, needs.

 

I was so freaking impressed by his debut, hopefully he gets back to that rhythm.

Even if he could do that , it probably won't happen if we keep giving him 7 over spells.

He was consistently hitting 140 yesterday as well. He stuck to his discipline which is the requirement in these conditions. The wicket is still flat and there is no seam movement available.

Akashdeep bowled 3 to 4 balls at 140 k +  in all of his 7 overs bowled in one continuous spell.

 

Atleast 2 balls at 143 k+.

 

Only 1 ball below 137 k.

 

Wicket balls were 140 k and 141 k.

 

7th over was as quick with him touching 143 k and 142 k.

 

Plus he hit the pitch hard and got consistent zip and seam movement from his over 2.

 

Hit greats lengths from his over 2  too 

 

Just needs to improve his lines a bit.

He should not.

 

Akashdeep is bowling 133 k to 138 k so far today and looks a bit stiff.

 

5 over spells max for 140 k pacers.
