Who can play the primed and tuned IPL stars right after the IPL end in May in June? The rest of the teams in the world should protest the ICC for the unfair advantage rendered to India ..... No point in this tournament - just hand India the trophy. India wins the IPL every year, we don't need any other Mickey mouse trophies. AKane and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Most recently in Bangladesh he dropped 3 catches in 30 minutes. Kohli has been one of our worst catchers including dropping dollies but the dude says he is most efficient. I have never seen someone more delusional. Link to comment
Gollum
Kohli was a poor catcher in tests in the 2015-21 period, his zidd of standing in slips made it worse. Both him and Dhawan. These days he doesn't stand much in the slips. He is a good groundfielder, athletic but drops too many dollies, remember Markram dropped catch in 2022 T20 WC....Kohli sometimes gets so excited and rushes at the ball with hard hands. He is capable of conjuring magic like Ponting/Gibbs/Rhodes/Symonds one instant and then dropping a dolly the very next ball. AuxiliA, Frustrated and rollingstoned 3 Link to comment

Pant's easy stumping was missed and dropped three easy catches in Sydney and again in Gabba, we know what happened next. Catches the most easiest ones get dropped , stop making it a big deal.Kohli's catching has some issues but he still is very good in outfield even today. Edited March 15 by putrevus Link to comment

Kohli catching is one of the worst. There is no ambiguity there. Poor outfielding you cost runs. Dropped catches can cost you matches. Shubman Gill already looks much better than Kohli in that regard. Edited March 15 by vvvslaxman Link to comment

Yes dropped catch cost matches, it happens with every team just like it happened to Australia . Stop acting as if Kohli is the only player who has dropped catches. Gill looks better so what, now Gill is standing in slips.Gill will drop some catches too if he plays for 100 plus tests. Edited March 15 by putrevus Link to comment

That is just fine, Kohli has caught more than he dropped , he was fine when he dropped those catches, he will drop more catches in future to just in case you want to know and he will be fine. Dropping catches happens to even best fielders. Link to comment

Takes some good catches and drops dollies. GOod outfielder. It is very rare to see an elite batsman with a weakness like that. A stat from 7 years back Kohli dropped catches list 45 Catches ( Test-34,One Day-9, T20–2) Link to comment

He might not be Mark Waugh but he is passable even in slips. If India finds another good slip fielders, he can be in outfield without any problem.Sachin was not a great catcher either. He is not like Laxman or Dravid, who could not in outfield. Stop making his catching into big deal. Link to comment

It is a big deal regardless of who drops. Looks at Rachin Ravindra. Dropped a simple dolly from Marsh, first ball of the day. Stokes dropped Lyon in the 1st test in England. It cost them the game. Australia went on to win the match. MSD dropped a catch in 2019 semi final . It cost us. Kohli dropped Markram in 2022 world T20. It cost us. Edited March 15 by vvvslaxman Link to comment
