Rohit has been useless in T20s for a long time. (Except that 1 match vs Minnow Afghan recently)    But he can't be dropped coz he is afterall the kaptaan.  TM don't want to announce Dandya as t20 kaptaan. (Rightly so).  As he would get injured after 1 game. Only other candidate for t20 captaincy is SKY who recently recovered from a serious injury.  They probably don't want him to take the captaincy burden.

Agreed they want to gauge Public response on it...  Think had they dropped Rohit Kohli both would have suited BCCI.

T20 WC GOAT Kohli is still a must in this format, will walk into every team. Rohit, Jaddu should have been kicked out 3 editions before, KL should never have been selected in 2021.

 

Kohli can go but after this WC.

Rohit has done nothing in any world t20 except his 50 in 2007.Rahul is so utterly useless under pressure. Same with Jadeja, who is useless.

 

They can select anyone they want but if they select these three bozos India is not winning anything.

 

Add one more, Pandya unless he bowls all his four overs is another overrated guy.

 

I hope we have seen last of another guy  Bhuvi who kept screwing the team for decade.

Absolutely. Fukin hate Fraudeja. No Lolhi and KL also. Rohit can't be dropped now and his atrocious captaincy will be witnessed once again. Kuldeep has to play all games

Glad there is more consensus that all of Rohit , Kohli and Jadeja needed to be axed, ideally.

 

Kohli is terrible on slowish pitches and against spin. 

 

Should not play any international cricket apart from SENA Tests going forward. 

 

I'm surprised they are even mentioning KL.

These are the stats of our batsmen since the last World T20 against the Top sides.

 

These need to be considered along with IPL stats for the the 2023 and 2024 editions. 

 

It's a myth that we need Rohit, Virat, Jadeja for everything.

Jadeja did not play last t20 world cup, what great things did Axar do in that world cup.

 

What has Pandya done in any world cups in both t20 and 50 overs other than his 63 where he was struggling to score more than run a ball for majority of the innings.

 

Why is Pandya a must, what can he do , , what has he done in any world cup both in 50 over and 20 over.

I don't think a high average in t20 makes anyone a goat. Kohlis presence disturbs the entire balance of the team.

 

The worst thing any t20 team can have is a stat padder in top 3 who plays lots of balls and mostly hits later. Kohli is also very slow in the middle over against spinners.

 

Multiple analysis has proven that players who play slow initially and then hit later to make up strike rate harm the team more than help. Balls once lost in t20 never come back. The top 3-4 should always be batsmen who can hit at high strike rate from beginning even if they don't play many balls. 

 

I think subcontinent fans (and TM) still have no idea about t20 and they treat it like ODI where you need to play long innings and have a high average. 

 

Averages count for jack **** in t20s. No team with stat padders in top 3 will ever win any cup. An anchor or someone who can help if there is a collapse should be someone coming down the order, someone like stokes or dhoni who can both tuk tuk and hit hard of required. Having anchors in top order is detrimental to the team no matter how much average he shows or how much strike rate they have by hitting later in the innings.
