Why don't we create a pool which should have all these players ? Fast bowlers will get injured more, coz they put more effort on their body to generate raw pace..hence they need proper rest & conditioning and hence we need rotation. Also not every pacer will fit in all format. express bowling and raki05 2

Yet two guys nagarkoti and mavi who were touching 145 in U19 are no where to be seen. Dravid was the u19 coach when India first saw them. Chakdephatte 1

Both were given nice contracts by KKR despite being out of commission for over a year and provided facilities and training support. Too bad they couldn't even come up to IPL regular player level. You need professionals for that, or those who has went through those rigors himself. Lee, Steyn all have spoken about Mayank, they told multiple times that BCCI need to hire experts who understand fast bowling needs & conditioning. It's a specialized skillset which coaches won't know coz India never took care of their fast bowlers, they simply don't know. Every country in the world treats their fast bowlers as the gold standard, except India. express bowling and tapandrun 2

Its just ingrained in Ind cricket that faster bowlers goes for runs, there have been no TM before and after kolhi who put some faith in faster bowlers. That was the only time Ind had some kind of pace attack and they were able to get equally good bench, that has never happened in world cricket too 5-6 v.good fast bowler. Mavi and Nagarkothi were not that tall to be fast bowlers but had pace which Ind never had before but got injured at the wrong time and not sure what kept them out of ipls for so long. They had good hype and platform after U-19 WC. After that Ind found better options. Nagarkoti is unable to find place in Raj domestic team, Mavi has lost his pace when he should be in his prime. Nagarkoti should have added batting to his skill set, he is ok with bat and good fielder nevada and express bowling 2

Every country in the world treats their fast bowlers as the gold standard, except India. fast bowling is one of the most strenuous athletic activity. Similar to javelin and discus throw but with more speed at point of abrupt force transfer /release and longer run up. It is an action designed to break a body. Requires specialized focused fitness regime which Indians simply don’t care about, this is why we have Aaron nagar mavi etc break open with 150k only to fizzle out. Other side we have those genetic freaks like Umesh shami who settle down to fast medium and have normal career length. So either lose pace or wither away.
Vilander Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Cricket Ball has less mass and aerodynamic efficiency than a javelin or discus to add to the mix. nevada 1

One can say it about test matches as fielding the whole day is there too. What is different is the mental pressure. Edited September 29, 2024 by express bowling Mosher 1

Too often i think people think mental pressure is purely mental in its effects and nature, but in reality it isnt- mental pressure can get to you physically. When i used to play sports competitively in my youth, i'd see players who'd stiffen up and injure themselves simply because they are too mentally tight/stressed out. In an activity like bowling, where the whole body is involved in a lot of complex muscular movements, being mentally tense can easily translate into injuring yourself while bowing. I think people overlook THIS side of the whole injury train, especially when the injuries are series of muscle strains and such. putrevus 1

If he is able to manage the rigors of T20 games, let's keep him in NZ series and try him out to check if he is able to bowl 12-18 overs in a day in short spells of 3/4 overs each. It will add an extra dimension in our pace bowling. express bowling and Old guy 2
