2019 Eng made kucha of Kulcha

2022 Eng destroyed Ind

2024 ?

Ind will have to be at its best! Any weakness will be exploited.

Be positive man.

2023 WC we hammered them.

Most recently our kids ended the myth of bazball, Jaiswal scored 700+ with 26 6s, more than entire English squad combined.

From what I have seen of English media and fans, they are terrified of Jaiswal. Don't think they have recovered from the scarring he gave them earlier this year, also they follow RR a lot.

Persisting with Kohli ahead of Jaiswal makes no sense.

Change in rules wrt to KO games. .

Neither positive nor negative … 2023 WC was played at home, where Ind tends to shine.

Here in a KO game, Ind has to play its best cricket or hope that Eng, which is a better LOI side, has an off day.

Pitches here are similar to the one where we beat them in 2023 WC (Lucknow), especially Guyana.

Eng white ball sides have declined since last year, their peak was in the 2016-22 period.

Butler and Salt are key and to an extent Brook... Don't see Tullas like Livingstone and Bairstow lasting long against Kuldeep and Boom.

a reduced match will favor the Poms massively as they have bigger hitters ,my wish is wither a full game or washout.

Reduced match of 7-8 overs means india will play with 5 specialist bowlers.. ie Bumrah bowls 2 and Arshdeep/ Kuldeep bowls 2 and rest 1 each. so we will have 7 specialist batters not 8 as for playing 42 balls we dont need so many batters

What's with the ICC?

Why schedule a tournament in places where you know rain is likely in the tournament months?

All this rain talk in every thread just kills the fun off the WC.

PS: Is it going to rain tomorrow?

agree.. my colleague here supports RR like crazy..and we got him a RR jersey.. unfortunately he supports Leeds United too which got relegated..lol.. a lot of britishers do.. 2 reasons- 1- Buttler is the captain and it also had Joffra Archer once.. and 2- it has close connection with UK..Between 2010 and 2013, Hampshire had a partnership with IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals which saw them play T20 cricket as Hampshire Royals. They are now Hampshire Hawks. Royals are owned by Manoj Badale, the British-Indian businessman who explored buying Yorkshire last year. Also their off season High performance center takes place in England with Ronnie Irani the main guy..

Who is making the match thread?

I have a good feeling about this WC and this match.

Kohli and Ro Sha are going to retire on a high.

Jadeja too, but I have a feeling his appearances in this WC are done.

Weather predicts 67% rain from 10-1 at the stadium, which means rain delays. These 3rd world stadiums don’t have good drainage or good super shoppers to dry up quickly before rain interrupts.  No reserve day as well for SF2. India will proceed to finals if play is abandoned

Not sure if this match will happen in the 1st place.  Regardless, I wish that the Match Thread is opened by someone with good track record.  As per my observation.   Preferably @Austin 3:!6and/or @IndianRenegade

Anybody but me.  I have a lifetime ban . I have opened the notorious 155/0 match in WT20 2021.  Apart from Austinda , @Lord @Gollum have recent good records
