It is no secret that ex Pakistani bowlers like Imran Khan, Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram used to openly tamper balls with bottle caps. You don't get banana swings like Waqar Younis used to get back in the days with normal cricket balls. I am not saying they were poor bowlers but if they play in modern era, they will be much less effective. Just like how Shaheen Afridi or Haris Rauf would be legend had they played in those times with tampered balls.

 

So it is not a surprise for an ex Pakistani cricketer to accuse others of ball tampering moment they see any swing as that is how they used to get it back in the days. Take Sharjah's fixed games, biased home umpires, bottle caps and illegal bowling action out - Pakistan has very little to show for their cricket history.

Similar allegation were made by Rusty Theron on Haris Rauf against us match. 

 

In Caribbeans there is always strong wind in certain direction that could have been the reason and with open arena kind of stadiums it could give in illusion that ball is reversing specially sub 140 full-tosses which get more air time.

 

Then there are other factors too the sitting area is neither grassy nor its fully made of cement so that might be causing the ball to deform a bit.

 

Think the reason behind such comments is to find some traction and audiences on their channels and SM, these channels may have paid these guys and made commitments and contracts but here is no audience after Pak early exit so they might be loosing their sponsors and no body want to watch a special late night sports program when your team already is out.

 

Some bizarre comments came last 50 over wc when some Pak test player said Ind is getting Tech. fitted balls or something on those lines.

 

Some1 said Babar is a fixer
