Yes it does look like his international career is coming to an end. Coming down the order was him being a leader and maybe getting India ready for life minus Kohli and him.

My guess is that, if we make it into WTC, he will play that one and retire after that.

He has had poor 6 test matches in a row so far, I hope he finds inner strength and succeeds. I hate this downfall, personally Rohit has been the batsmen I have enjoyed the most to watch since Sehwag retired.

 

A gifted player but fitness is something he has neglected which is making his footwork slow now.

 

On paper current batting line up looks so good, unfortunately cricket is not played on paper. Full of pleasing on the eye stroke makers.

He should have resigned by taking full responsibility.  Still continuing as captain means not taking any responsibility.
