Yep, this country is going the pakistan way and very soon.

Just hope it doesn't become a complete hib of terrorism and anti social elements who then keep attacking india without any purpose of their own

Pity as for a short while the country looked like it was turning a corner, bit as usual religious extremism will consume another country.

Always was this way, we are insulated from what is happening there because of the language barrier. Only the gen which lived during Tikka Khan and Mujiburs time has some gratitude towards India.

Bangladesh's army has had more coups than Pakistan's btw, if you read some of the stories you will feel for one hot minute that the Paxtanis are actually saner by comparison. lol.

Didn't our crowd chant Jai Shree Ram at Mohammed Shami?

kabhi khud ke girebaan mein bhi jhaank liya kijiye.

I don’t think that ever happened.

The difference is that "Jai Shree Ram" is not really a slur or insult. It's more of a slogan which literally translates to "Hail Lord/King Ram". This is in the same category as people chanting "Har har mahadev" or "Ganpati bappa morya". It's not derogatory or meant as an insult.

However calling someone "filth" or using actual slurs to demean a person based on his religion is different. Now if the crowd had simply chanted "Allahu Akbar" or something similar, that would've been fine as the chant itself is not an insult, slur or derogatory. But calling someone filth or garbage due to religion is.

Hope you can see the difference.

After the '83 WC, WI toured India for a long series. One of the ODIs was in Srinagar, read about the crowd behavior and slurs hurled at our players then. Hatred for kafirs is too deeply ingrained in their holy book.

Cancel India's tour to BD in upcoming WTC cycle. Heck we are scheduled to play T20I and ODI series before that, I think this year. Safety is a major concern, hate against Indians/Hindus/Chakmas is at boiling point in BD even among their educated lot, tourists and businessmen from Kolkata are being randomly attacked on a daily basis in Dhaka. Cricketers will be prime targets for those radicals.

Shami is that kind of guy who will join the crowd and say Jai Shri Ram himself..he has said that on TV itself.

Anyway, what was said to Litton is similar to calling "Ka##a" to a Muslim. I don't think any crowd has done that.
