Let's be honest here...noone.. literally no-one here is going to support another team over India in an ICC tournament finals.

Let's not fool anyone here.

Everyone will root for India. But i think they will be a little more chilled when we play SA than when we play NZ.

They will back Kuldeep since he is back from surgery. They generally do that for all the players coming back from injury. Look at Shami. THey are not dropping him.

Shami has shown improvement and is the highest wkt taker of the CT. OTOH Kuldeep has gone wicketless the last 2 matches where every single spinner has outbowled him.

Sundar has to get a go as he'll give you better bowling figures and a much better batter to boot. This decision should be a no-brainer. Imagine how hard we can go with the bat with Sundar coming in at 9! And then our 4 spinners get stuck against SA or NZ!

Ashwin is fully backing Kuldeep. Seems like he is having a go at audience who criticized Kuldeep.

Depends. I have a ground rule- no losing to any Akhand Bharat teams including fairly friendly countries like Afghanistan and Nepal.

rest is circumstantial. Like today wanted India to win so there is no final in Lahore otherwise I would have really liked to see Aussie C kick team BCCI’s auss. Deshbhakti gayi bhaad me for this chindi tournament.

if Nzl wins will support India too.

Chindi tournament is the right description for this tournament which was brought back from cold storage just to milk another India-Pak encounter. Let's have an ICC tournament every year to keep alive this stupid rivalry and to give more opportunity to our sooper stars to finally win an ICC tourney.

There's enough record for us to see what Kuldeep does in big games. Didn't do anything in 2023 WC Final, failed in 2024 WT20 Final, and has been a no-show in CT the last two games. Doesn't matter what Ashwin says, it's time to give Sundar a game. Sundar can give you better stats and gives you batting depth till 9.

4 spinner is way too much.  India is missing a pacer big time.  They need to play Harshit imo.  He can slog as well if needed unlike Washy.

Na, I want NZ to qualify for the final as beating them to win the trophy would be far more satisfying.

I will be supporting SA in the WTC F. Hope they get a trophy there.:cheer:

What do you think?  @Nikhil_cric

Given the matchups, NewZealand is more likely to beat us in final. But at the same time, I don't think they are favourites against SA. Match will be toss dependent, even though SA bowling sucks badly, they will chase any target.

Everything went in India's favor this tournament. Australia was the easiest opposition among the three, no?

I'd prefer Arshdeep. He has shown he can handle pressure of slog overs or big matches

Yeah matchups wise, NZ match up very well against us and SA would be a better bet for us to be beat.

I don't think SA bowling sucks but Ngidi is a bit of a weak link and they are dependent on Jansen striking in the PP.

I think NZ are weak against their attack though.

4 spinners are prefect on this venue against SENA teams. Pacers can get hit but spinners are tough to get away. This is the reason we picked 5 spinners in the squad and time to make the most of them.

Sundar is better than Harshit in terms of batting as well. Haven't seen Harshit slog much in intl cricket and highly unlikely he does that in Dubai. Sundar can hold one up and bat at around run a ball or thereabouts which is what'll most likely be needed at this venue. Gives us additional depth in case op order falters, which Harshit is unlikely to do.

Also a lot depends on Pandya's fitness. If he's not fit then we'll need to play Harshit or Arshdeep in Pandya's place and then have to replace Kuldeep with Sundar to bolster the batting lineup. Without Pandya and with 4 specialist bowlers will leave us with a weak lower order.
