Lets be honest, Jadeja was an yes man to Dhoni in 2022 and Ruturaj is a kid in front of him. If CSK had a mentally strong young captain like Shreyas Iyer or Hardik Pandya, I am sure they would have made the team their own even with Dhoni in the side. I mean Virat Kohli shown that for few years where Dhoni was playing under him.

But given how unlikely it is for a kid to be named "Dhoni", the owner must be a Dhoni fan. With such devoted fans all over the country, why wouldn't Dhoni not want to milk his popularity and enjoy the "last season" attention season after season? The Dark Horse 1

Sporting component is low stakes compared to international cricket, especially the big tournaments.
