At what point in this series will people start crying out for Rohit?

Although we've got off to a good start it is almost inevitable that people will start wishing we had Rohit again to lead us and as a batsman. When do you think these cries will start to properly emerge?

India got so lucky with the pitch they got on day 1 in England and still messed up by getting out under 500.

Also the players who scored are players were in the team already. Nothing new.

It all depends on pitches and quality of bowling.

Our bowling is too much defendant on bumrah.Rohit the batsman failed but his captaincy was blamed wrongly vs australia and Nz.Batting failed miserably in india against part time spinners and australia were a better team in there conditions.Our catching has let us down eberywhere.People were crying rohit was bowling bumrah to ground we see the same everywhere.

no he was directly responsible for Bumrah's injury. He himself dropped lot of catches in NZ series.

 

Bumrah won the Perth Test easily as captain but Rohit undid all that. Aus is not a great team now

You got to be joking if you believe captaincy won india in Perth,Bumrah lost the last test as captain.We should have won at mcg due to drop catches at critical time.Captain is as good as bowling line up.India needs shami fit otherwise bumrah workload will lead to more injuries.Test series are won by bowlers Australia had three inform quicks to India's bumrah and siraj was workhorse for most part .You can't win.

Rohit ran Bumrah into the ground and his only move is to throw the ball to Bumrah. Rohit was a poor captain and was out-captained by Bumrah in the only Test Bumrah captained in BGT.

Bumrah was brilliant as captain in Perth. Managed workload brilliantly and put in attacking fields. Even in last match we had a chance before he got injured due to overloading by Rohit.

Well you do know Bumrah was captain when England chased 378 in the 4th innings which made series 2-2 rather 3-1 vs England in last tour. I mean how can mess that one up.

 

It is not always about captaincy, the captain is good as the bowling attack at his disposal.

Gill's bowling changes were poor. But his attempt to give different field set was much better what we saw with Rohit.

No I don't agree rohit is always a great tactical captain.With our attack Bumrah had to bowl most and Cummins bowled more than bumrah

Tell me some moves  where he was brilliant.Fact is in 1st test bumrah the bowler was great.We batted poorly and rest of Bowlers were average .India were never going to win in Australia on those pitches which were green compared to last 2 tours and with starc back in form with two greats like Cummins and hazelwood whose replacement was even better.

Noone, Rohit is useless captain.He pushed the team behind by 5 years..

Cummins did not bowl all the overs in one big spell the way Rohit made Bumrah bowl, and without enough rest. Both bowling 20 overs in a day is not the same when one bowls most of his overs in one session. Plus Rohit the batter didn't help out his bowler by averaging in single digits and putting the team under pressure from the get go.

 

In Tests Rohit was never a "tactical" captain. He was utterly useless with poor field settings and even poorer bowling rotation.

Shami himself is poor overseas and done.

Playing Harshit over Akashdeep/Prasidh. Rohit dropped him next match

 

Kept the spirits up after we got shot for `150 in first dig. Rohit gives up in such situations

 

Better bowling spells. No one overbowled. Under Rohit, Bumrah had to literally tell him 'nahi lag raha zor' to stop bowling.

 

Generally better/attacking field sets not allowing Aus to create partnerships
