And that is in fact exactly what Krishna can benefit from learning

The Realist Posted July 4, 2025 Posted July 4, 2025 Test match version of A Dinda. Apart from his height literally has no upside. Zero skills Zero talent Zero brains Zero IQ Gollum 1
Sean Bradley Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 (edited) I would make him bend with his pants down in tohfa kabool karo position, then i would hire Roberto Carlos to run in from far off to give him a free kick on his back side, which will straightaway land him back to which ever third world corner he has been picked from. Absolute waste of a position. I haven't seen such a hopeless selection in past decade or so. Edited July 5, 2025 by Sean Bradley Ultimate_Game 1

rkt.india Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 Both Thakur and Krishna should be sent back with new replacements. Suhaan, express bowling, nevada and 1 other 4

Gollum Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 It shows 135-140 kph, but feels like 120 kph to the naked eye. And no swing, seam, bounce, variation, intelligence/setup......proper teletubby bowler. Suhaan 1
lemsip Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I wonder which strategic genius is coming up with this masterplan of using Prasidh Krishna to operate a bumper strategy ? He has neither the pace, the accuracy or the discipline to be anything other than complete cannon fodder. If they have to carry him in this match, he can still be serviceable if he sticks to bowling wide outside the offstump and pick up wickets by boring them out. Gollum 1
cowboysfan Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I am done with him, even Karnataka should kick him out too since he has never won them anything.
express bowling Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 (edited) It is quite clear that Prasidh does not want to play for India. He is happy with 2 months of IPL. He is bowling 10 kph slower in England compared to the IPL, with less accuracy, less bounce and zip and way less enthusiasm. [ Compare this with Bumrah who is 2 or 3 kph quicker in tests in England compared to 4 over IPL ]. Prasidh has done this earlier too. Used to get "injured" during our domestic seasons and "recover" miraculously before the IPL. No point in picking such disinterested players. And this trend is being seen in lots of pacers these days. Khaleel gives similar vibes. Avesh too. And many others. Bumrah, Shami, Arshdeep and Harshit are the only current day pacers who give it their all while playing for India. It is better to pick them whenever fit. Edited July 5, 2025 by express bowling Mosher, Suhaan, nevada and 2 others 5

Gollum Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 (edited) If @express bowling @Suhaan lose faith in an Indian fast bowler despite backing/supporting him earlier, better release him, no hope. Edited July 5, 2025 by Gollum express bowling and Suhaan 1 1

Can't exclude Siraj on giving 100% effort during the game though his fitness discipline is in doubt and hence struggles at times in matches. lemsip 1

There can be no remedy to disinterest while playing for India. Sad part is that this part becomes fully clear only after someone plays a few games for India in his best suited format. Bad performance in the first couple of games could be due to nerves or teething problems. So a little bit of time should be given just after debut. But no slack should be cut for lack of effort from the 3rd test onwards. He should be out even if he performs in the 4th innings. Gollum, Suhaan and Mosher 3

Siraj is very good at putting up an act of putting in effort every over. But his deliveries don't tell the same story. In the last couple of years, Siraj's true effort seems to come in when he is leading the attack or when the new ball is swinging / moving. rollingstoned, singhvivek141 and Mosher 3

I am ready to give a pacer extra 5-6 tests as well, provided he is young. Prasidh is already 29...Next Feb he will hit 30. He doesnt have time in his hands, not sure if he realizes it. Akashdeep is just a year younger. Yet he is making an impact with new ball. Even in Australia, when most folks blamed him for poor performance. He actually bowled quite a lot of deliveries which missed the edges, he was indeed unlucky. Harshit would have been a wiser choice. Just 23 and was thrown directly to deep waters in Australia. Tried his best but Australian conditions can be unforgiving to debutants. Umesh, Shami all have leaked runs left, right and center during their first tour to Australia.
