This intent sharma started adopting this "selfless" approach as soon as he realize he was not good enough to run well between the wickets. This he started when he was 34. He will be 40 by WC 2027. WIll be even less athletic and with poor reflex. It is diabolical to even consider these 2 for the world cup.

What vendetta? Rohit is someone who can give a sumo wrestler a run for his money and other than a few slogs doesn't give you much. Kohli's reflexes are shot and when you add in his customary choking, no point in sticking with him. Add to that their poor fielding and catching in the field, and they're a huge liability.

 

Time to let Jaiswal and Sai in the team at no. 1 and 3 spots with Gill paired as an opener with Jaiswal, and Iyer following Sai at 4. We're in a pretty good shape and no need to drag has beens from retirement home.

Father time waits for no one. What is the point of them continuing in odis.

 

Kohli can still play odis in his sleep even in 2027 and could still be one of the best batsman in odis but it is time for India to move on from him.

Jaiswal's no place in ODI squad is very puzzling and with him becoming main stay in tests would definitely push Rohit out. Almost 2000 runs in tests and nearly 700-800 runs in T20s with high SR and still this guy isn't finding his place in ODI. Kohli can still play.

Didn't they help India win last two knockout matches plus CT in last two odis they both played?

 

Kohli was MoM in semis and Rohit was MoM in finals. So on current  form and match winning runs they both should be playing.
