Yeah. In hyderabad Halal meat only. 

 

From next time, i will give a earful to sneha chicken center wallah to have a portion of jhatkaa meat.

I've stopped buying from Sneha Chicken due to this.
There is a local chicken shop nearby owned by our Telugu brother, and he gives jhatka meat only. Have been buying from him from last 3 years.

I never ever eat desi food in a restaurant. It never felt right.

 

They use sauces in lieu of real ingredients.

 

Cooking Indian food at home should naturally come to you guys.

 

I can understand a student living alone take out Indian food once in a while.

Here in the UK Pakistani restaurants will almost always have a 'halal' sign in their eateries. I avoid them, I try my best to avoid halal meat but it's getting increasingly difficult, many restaurants are selling it undercover so that muslims eat there but they don't want to put off non muslims so they don't blatantly say they are serving halal. Even Hindu and Sikh owned restaurants carry out this devious behaviour. All McDonald's in India are halal, it's a joke.

'Indian' restaurants in overwhelmingly white majority towns here are mostly run by Bangladeshis.

Indians wanted to be work as doctors or engineers in UK and not a 'lowly' restaurant owner- jokes on them, people in businesses here earn way more money than educated plebs.

Youngsters don't want to slave away running a restaurant business, it's quite risky, requires veey long hours and tou can never switch off. All it takes is a covid type event or a recession and rhen you're screwed.

One of my cousins had a very successful shop selling souvenirs in a popular tourist town, made very good money but covid ruined that and now he works in a regular average/low paid job. He hated the long hours and wished he focused on building a career instead.

Chicken you can get jhatka in some places. Mutton no chance except that sardaar place in goshamahal

No not that I can recall- these pakistani owned chai themed street food places are satured in the market now. Bradford alone has 2 or 3 versions of them

In August I went to the much recommended “Dishoom” at SoHo. After waiting for nearly 35 mins for our food to arrive, I was thoroughly underwhelmed.

Dishoom is so overrated and is for the white palate.. youre basically paying for the decor and vibes and not the food

i do like the chicken berry brittannia biryani. they have achieved the holy grail of restaurants which is to be packed for breakfast lunch and dinner, quite an achievement for an indian restaurant in the UK
