Youngsters also shat the bed in tests, so yeah good in one bad in two formats.

They haven't played much so far. I recall our youngsters beating Aus in Aus in BGT 2020-21 when Kohli ran away. Youngsters have done everything we've asked of them and more. It's the so called "stars" who led us to a lost decade without an ICC trophy by laying eggs in knockouts.

Which idiot was saying that?

Across forums, people agree that Virat is one of the best batters to tour africa in all formats.

These idiots don’t even have an iota of honesty.

Kohli is simply the greatest ever touring batter to RSA, of all time.

The pitches he scored runs on in 2017-18 and 23-24 were diabolical. Few Aussies and Poms may be statistically better but they scored on featherbeds or balanced pitches. RSA reserved the worst pitches for us where their own batsmen would run scared against our quicks, and Kohli succeeded every single time.

Root, Smith are the leading test batters of this generation, but their performance in RSA pales in front of Kohli's. RSA has been a top test side with the most lethal pace unit the last 15 odd years, so this tells a lot.

Even in ODIs, Kohli has been all class in RSA (unlike Rohit). That is why I say, forget age, he should walk in as #3 in 27 WC, nobody in the world is in the same ball park as him. If he doesn't fire, we have no chance.
