  1. 1. Are the best two teams playing the final?

    • Yes - duh
    • No - my team was the best
    • Can’t say - my formula of how the game is to be played needs an update
  2. 2. Where will King Kohli show his gorilla antics the best?

    • While batting
    • While fielding
    • Both - the cricket ground is a zoo
  3. 3. Who should GT open in the final?

    • Gill & Sai S - don’t change the winning combination
    • Gill/SaiS & Holder - throw in the wild card
    • Gill/SaiS & Sindhu - let Sindhu try to get some quick runs, if he gets out, no big deal!

If people have trouble with Holder in IPL, imagine Ambrose and/or Garner.

He has improved change of pace deliveries. It is the T20 bowling skill. This is the same holder which conceded like 30 runs to moeen ali in a single over

Is it just me or Harsha’a overreaction to Kohli feel disingenuous :hmmm: don’t think he genuinely likes him but acts like a fanboy :giggle:

GT making final with this structure and approach is referendum on how bad other teams were this season. They just have to plan for 2 guys in the team. Sai Sudarshan and Gill

But their Bowling Is better than Other Teams ,at least On paper .

Batting is too Methodical and conventional, no X factor in the side, which is not the way modern T20 should be played

I hope ths time RCB will not have any extravagant celebrations in Bengaluru. Keep it sane guys. Enjoy the win, but no need to create a risky situation again.

I had mentioned it earlier as well to @zen that GT only have Plan A. They look good when their Plan A works but they don't have any plan when that plan doesn't work and they lose a couple of early wkts.

That means the 8 other teams that did. It make it to the final, did not have any plans?

A team is in the final (and its 3rd in 5 years), and you want tell it does not have this or that

Not every team has to be similar. If GT has the option to pick any player it wanted, it would create a different batting combination.

There is a serious inability to understand IPL on this forum and many come here to play arm chair selectors even rooting against players as if they play well, they think the player could get selected over their favorite player.

If you make a combined team i doubt anyone from GT will walk into RCB.

I would pick Sai to replace Paddikal. And maybe Rashid as a 2nd spinner or Holder as a pace option over Duffy coz Holder can bat as well. But that's about it.

Then why do they load their side with 8 bowlers? I was wondering if they'd bring in a batter as impact sub, but no

They totally botched up their batting. Pitch was not as bad to not even try hitting

But sometimes allowed them to make 200 easily.

He is already done his job in PP.  This is how great player play according to the conditions.  Virat is almost killed the Chase in PP

Have posted the ques on other threads too -- Are ipl bowlers only good when batters are trying to attack them and if some1 plays conservative cricket they fail to take wkts.

players like kl/kolhi/sai/gill/rutu have been scoring big season-on-season

Jos Inglis playing for LSG from the beginning might have helped them a bit. But Pant's captaincy was mediocre

KKR not opening with Finn ALlen and Seifert was a crime. They are better team than their position.

Kohli in white ball might just be the first one to have a third peak. This run is more impressive than what he did in 2016-19. Hope he does a 2022 Messi next year.

Well he will need an opponent like Holland who completely dominated the last 15 minutes in the air to tie the match and then completely abandoned the air ball in extra time..... Go figure.

Strange crap that 2022.

We heard the same before the recent WT20 when you and otehrs went "let's see what IPL stars do without Kohli, Rohit, Jadeja etc." and we all saw what they did.

If we had picked our clutch performers we wouldn't have gone a decade without a tourney coz the stars shyte the bed consistently. It took likes of Axar and Dube to be part of the team to get over the line with their clutch performances.

Nah it was Kohli who was MOTM.

Everyone put India as the number one contender of last t20 WC.
