Brook averaging close to 56..  he is the new Marnus but with actual talent to back it up

Marnus avgs are normalizing his FC avg is also mind 40s and List A is also in mid 30s and hence being replicated in Intnl levels.

Unless some1 is really special then only the intnl avg gets batter than FC and List A otherwise over large period of time it just normalize itself

Rare failure for Stokes @Lord

I was wondering if this test is important but since he failed its just another game. He comes good in big games :agree:

Jaddu fires in 80% of home tests and still gets abused so much by our fans :fear1:

Was MVP along with Ash in our dream home run before GG took over .

Jaddu and Ashwin were the main reason for our stellar home record over the last decade and a half. They were the ones covering for our batters for a long time. Once they became old and lost their effectiveness the batters were exposed and we all saw where the batters really stood. Our dominance was built on Ashwin, Jaddu, Pant and our lower order & bowlers. Jaiswal is the lone exception when he broke through and we had likes of Mayank Aggrawal or Jurel providing some support but our batting in general has been MIA for a long time now.

New Zealand fielders have dropped Harry Brook nine times in Test cricket.
This figure is comprised of:
Five dropped catches during his innings of 171 in Christchurch (November 2024)
Four dropped catches across two innings in opening Tests at Lord's (June 2024/25, June 2026).

His bowling returns have diminished.  Averaging 33.46 with the ball since NZ tour of India despite playing on some absolute turners

He has declined no doubt. Expected only, at the fag end of his career. Batting still decent.

Concerning part is that even this washed version of Jaddu is comfortably outbowling Kuldeep who is supposed to be in his peak years. And not just tests, he even outbowled him in the 23 WC.

Kiwis rarely drop our guys.

Anyway this Brook is the luckiest batsman I have seen since early days Labu. And because of his scoring rate, he is so much more devastating.

True. No disagreements there

Is it over for NZ? England racing away with the match in the second innings.

Unless there is a collapse, sure is. RR will soon go over 4 and eventually over 5 if Brook comes in later part of the day
