I didn’t trust such reports knowing how our dramabaaz cricketers are. The news has to come from the horse’s mouth.

Is baar different tha. Devendra Pandey is very close to Rohit, and is used as a spokie of sorts by Rohit and Ritika. Maybe he was also part of this elaborate PR campaign, to garner sympathy for his buddy.

A lot happens behind the scenes now a days with PR teams running various campaigns to keep a cricketer in the news.

They wouldn't have released this unprovoked. It reeks of the same shenanigans that occured during the last BGT after which he stepped down.

Oh yes, who can forget that as soon as the news of him getting dropped for the Sydney Test came out, Bollywood celebrities started tweeting about "Rohit Sharma, what a superstar!".

Bollywood PR companies like the one of Sajdehs coming into cricketer management has really polluted the discussions about the game in general on the internet.

Don't forget that tea time interview with Irfan Pathan.

Rohit should really play with the haters mind by cancelling test retirement and make himself available for ranji and make a bid for the test series at home vs Australia in early 2027.

Sai is clearly not the answer for the opening slot.

There was similar news about Dhoni when we toured there in 2018. Similar headlines- him retiring after 3rd ODI when he played embarrassingly slow in Lords ODI. Not only he didn't retire, he went on to play next year wc and screwed us more.

So it was fake news/PR.
