His 7 fer vs Eng at Chennai and the 6 fer at Ranchi tell you he can bowl well on no spinning tracks. He has been out bowling Ashwin in last few tests.It may be due to Ashwins injury or may be not but Jadeja is surely far more than a journey man cricketer.

Jaddu played the best test innings of his life here.  Came in when he didn't have the license to just go for broke.  Handled the new ball well defensively in the last few overs of D2 and top scored with 63 that saw the needle move from Aus's favor to India's.  

 

And @The Outsider, you've already been given some reading homework, may want to do that before spouting baseless nonsense that suits your confirmation bias, while you admit yourself that you have hardly seen him bowl.   Not all spinners have to have the same style of bowling to be effective.  Not all left-armers have to clone the Bedi method.
