What exactly is not hit-and-miss in T20 cricket. Do you have any safer option.

nothing , margin of error is so limited .

@MultiB48 is right yorkers with yorkers its even more , if your execution isnt spot . Batsman is standing deep in crease now, if it doesnt land right its either slot ball or full toss and even if u land it right a lot of times inside edge takes it to 4 . Which is why see bowlers at times going for different option as slight bit of error and it wud be smashed

Naseer hussain spoke it few years ago

Also do find mahela interview regd kohli hobar knock where he talks about how malinga execution was good but yet he kept getting smashed

Its very harsh on bowlers now , earlier margin of error was high with yorkers now its minimal

This. Unless you're an exceptionally good yorker exponent bowling with high pace and with long straight boundaries on a particular ground, it's always better to go hard length at high pace or cutters into the wicket.

High pace hard length is a good way but works mostly against the likes of pollard-pandya-russell types , do that against kohli-butler-abdv-KL-rohit they ll hit u badly .

Even if ur great with yorkers at the end ur execution on the day matters. Starc last few yeRs have been a downfall as his execution of yorkers has gone down.

Cutter slower ones have been successfull around the world mostly as it doesnt give batsman pace to play with and mostly it beats the timing of a batsman , then again bowl it in wrong slot it wont be spared

Kuch bhi safe nahin , better bowl to weakness of batsman . Then also set kohli-butler-rohit-abdv wont even have that , may be leg spin against indian duo

seeing all these economy rates and innovate shots makes me feel that bowlers should aim to bowl and set fields for 4/5 singles in an over.. no dot balls no wickets just aim to give singles in last two overs.. if this works TM might appreciate a guy who consistently gives singles in last over than a guy who picks 1 or 2 cheap wickets but ends up going for 15+ on bad days

The highlights. @MultiB48, @rkt.india,

Terror , Bounce & Speed - All in his bowling.

Terror of hitting the batsman, Batsman is leaving the Stumps and bowler gets a Clear straight view to hit the Stumps- easy for Umran to hit.

Bounce- I guess he is 5 11" , still he is getting so much bounce on a flat patta wicket in India- how much bounce will he generate in Australia.

Speed- He is bowling @150 K on Indian SMAT Pitches , he will touch 161 on Aussie Pitches.

Vengsarkar knows how much value he brings, Brett Lee knows too, Wasim akram is also feeling good that he is not going.

Our Selection committee has erred in not picking him in 15 or at least in Back Up for World Cup team. I understand He and Kuldeep Sen are still in India enjoying Paratha's where as they are required in Australia now. why cant they listen to Vengsarkar.

Has Siraj gone to Australia?

Initially Umran Mallik is likely to have good days in 3/4 out of 10 games.. with time it will improve to 4/5 or may be even 6/10 if he really improves.. our guys won't have that much patience and they will drop him

this is how Umesh Yadav, Ishant Sharma developed in tests

Exactly, even Brett Lee had his off days where we went for runs. But on his days he was a run-away match winner.
But our TM is too scared to give him opportunity and prefers to go with slow bowlers who can't even win matches on their good days.

No one said these words. Don't just assume things.

These details came in 30 seconds of search on Google, lot of things has been said on this forum as well which I am not interested to pin point.

Probably the most exciting talent amongst all fast bowlers. A complete fast bowler IMO.

I agree strongly.

Tyagi is a complete fast bowler with 90 mph+ pace, 6'2" height, bounce  aggression, yorkers, wide yorkers, bouncers, swing, seam movement, slower balls and slower ball bouncers.

Plus he is just 21.

The only area where he needs work is improving his stock delivery.

He should be developed ASAP and with specisl care by the BCCI. Should get every opportunity to play actusl games.

I am worried that his IPL franchise won't be able to play him much because of Bhuvi  Natarajan, Umran and Jansen as first choices.

Maybe he should think about shifting franchise if possible.
