Kuldeep has bowled poorly throughout the match. You cannot expect captain to trust him as of now. Purely being practical here. Rohit has made many other mistakes but this was not one of them.

Okay..now he has seen the experienced trundlers cant break 10th wkt partnership against BD and gets snacked easily..

Can anyone Guarantee..trundlers wont be given chance again..as tgat was the experiienced trundkers vs first match nerves of pacer Sen..who has more scope to improve

One brainless thing he did was that when batsman is backing away to make more room, any half decent bowler follows him to cramp for room. he was giving Mehidy more room.

Agreed but shud hv given opportunity to learn furtger..thats how he will be developed..the morons trundler were kept given overs again and again..

I m very much certain Mehdy wud hv mistimed one very soon in next over or so

I think he has played enough cricket to understand what length to bowl in that situation.

If Rohit gives Kuldeep important overs after being smacked you will still question him saying he puts the youngster under the bus and what are eggsperienced pacers for.

Rohit's real test is whether he will be able to support the right bowlers. Dravid-Rohit combo has been super supporting of trundlers.

Kuldeep was clearly nervous, had he gotten the wicket of Shakib in his first over...things could have been diff.

His pace was down in first spell and was in 135-140 range.

However, I think he got some confidence back when he picked up few wickets and hence upped his pace. I would have actually given him one more over (maybe at the end) as Deepak was lacking penetration. We anyway lost the match but you never know, one good delivery at pace could have turned the game for us.

“knucke ball choriye, yahan akal ball chahiay” - Hindi commentary

Hindi commentary is wild.ATG lines.

On a side note Ajay jadeja is a very sharp cricketing mind.

He's actually the best cricket analyst in India imo. Calls a spade a spade. Underrated commentator and ODI cricketer. Unfortunately lost all his reputation due to fixing.

Yes, even as a captain as well he was very calculative and hence had decent success. Despite him carrying a casanova image.

Unfortunately, the fixing saga has doomed his reputation. No matter what he says now, that black spot on his career will always be a blocker for him to hold any valuable positions.

I know we all are disappointed..but Its first match for him..even experienced trundlers were bowling badly..we can cut Sen some slack here

Inwont personally..I want pacers to learn at all cost even at cost of Indian losses in the meaningless bilateral series..esp if other choices are trundlers

I am mentally prepared for India to lose next 10 matches if tgey play Siraj Sen Unran together..

I think Rohit handled Kuldeep decently, we didn't have enough runs on the board so it wasn't that easy for Rohit to manage.

Maybe he should have given him one more over at death...when Deepak was struggling. But that's all, not much complaints.

Anyway, I would hope Rohit don't drop him and give one more opportunity. This loss is due to the fault of batters, bowlers actually did a decent job here to keep the match competitive

But team management won't. These fast bowlers will be replaced by TTFs at the first chance.

Also most captains don't dictate the bowlers which length to bowl unless name is Dhoni. No wonder wicket taking bowlers never evolved much under Dhoni.

It is becoming very difficult to watch a group of pacers who are just gently placing the ball there very slowly and getting massacred.

We have Bhuvi, Harshal, Chahar and Shardul in the mix and Arshdeep is close too. Then Mukesh Kumar and Atit Sheth are very near Team India selection.

sheth is better than both current thakur and chahar (not talking about peak thakur) IMO. a bit quicker, can do a bit more with older ball, and arguably a better bat than both. not saying he should be selected through

How does it matter who has the fastest bowler !!

Speed is needed for hurrying batsmen and intimidating them with hostile stuff.

If 10 bowlers can do it then all are qualifying on the pace and bounce front. Now it comes down to who the better bowler is.

Like most people will pick the 135 k to 147/148 k Bumrah over a Saini who can be 2 or 3 kph quicker.

it doesn't matter in general, but when people are writing falsehoods about speeds, it is necessary to correct that.

This is not a new revelation that Chahar is not good after power-play/once the ball stops swinging. Its easy to line both him and Bhuvi up.

Intl batters can easily pre-emptively predict their line and length and get in to position to score, and when the batter faults to guess the line they can re-adjust owing to lack of pace.

The other problem with Chahar, bhuvi and showing signs in Singh as well is that after getting hit for a 4/6 they donot have a come-back ball, this is v.clear in the case of Chahar, bhuvi. so if batting side is able to get 4/6 in first few balls of the overs they can score12/13 of that over easily.

As for Thakur, its well know that he gets wkts on sheer luck.
