Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 When India bowled, I was extremely disappointed to see Umesh not opening the bowling. That really was a horrible move. Enough to destroy the confidence of your "Fast" bowler. With due respect, Bhuvi is not "Fast"!Ashwin as a lone spinner would have worked too. As such none of our spinners have done well in Aus pitches to win us games.also wen umesh came to bowl he was not given any slips Wat ru telling ur wkt taking bowler not to go for wkts Adi_91 and Mosher 2
Adi_91 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 also wen umesh came to bowl he was not given any slips Wat ru telling ur wkt taking bowler not to go for wktsDhoni never favoured Umesh. I don't what problem he has with him and Varun Aaron. We can see that Umesh and Ishant are bowling with a lot more purpose under Kohli in tests. A startling difference it makes to the bowlers when the captain believes in them. Dhono doesn't. Worse, even the people he reposes faith in are letting him down, but he doesn't seem to care. express bowling and Rightarmfast 2

Lannister Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Did anyone notice the leg slip yesterday? He's still doing it there by depleting 1 fielder. Why won't anyone from coaching staff talk some sense into him?
rkt.india Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 the most disappointing thing was Umesh. He bowled so defensively. No fire, no pace. We need an aggressive Umesh at least in Aus, bowling quick 145+ and trying to take wickets. adi B 1
Mosher Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 the most disappointing thing was Umesh. He bowled so defensively. No fire, no pace. We need an aggressive Umesh at least in Aus, bowling quick 145+ and trying to take wickets. Not going to happen. We can clearly see Umesh was bowling well within himself. Not running in hard. Trying to be more accurate, which is a good thing but Umesh's role in the side is to bowl fast and try to take wickets even if he goes for a few runs. He maybe worried that if he goes for a few runs he will dropped from the playing 11. Its the captains job to give them that confidence and freedom to go out there and bowl fast and try to pick wickets. But Dhoni has already said many times he wants accurate bowlers rather than those who bowl fast. adi B and express bowling 2

express bowling Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Even Harsha Bhogle was saying in commentary that Kohli likes fast bowlers like Umesh, Ishant , Shami etc. ( left out Aaron )...but Dhoni loves medium pacers.I felt that Umesh Yadav's role, defined by the team management yesterday, was defensive...brought in one change, no slips given, removed after 3 good overs etc.The key to winning even ODIs is taking wickets at regular intervals...BK has not been a wicket taker in any format unless the ball is swinging...spinners were not expected to take wickets in Perth....as there was very little swing or seam movement, the only thing that was working was pace and bounce..Umesh could have used it but it was probably not in the team management's plan. express bowling Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Injuries to Shami and Ishant have made our bowling attack very ineffective for Australia...we are lacking pace and bounce apart from Umesh.Should have brought in a couple among Aaron, Bumrah and Pandya to cover for the injuries.
rkt.india Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Difficult to see Aaron in ODI team till Dhoni is there. We are wasting someone who could become a valuable asset for us. adi B and Rightarmfast 2

We are wasting someone who could become a valuable asset for us.Under Kohli....Umesh, Ishant and Aaron could become useful ODi bowlers...Shami already is very good in ODIs.Bumrah and Pandya would round up the ODI pacers list for me at the moment....There would be enough choices for injury management and pacer rotation. New guy Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 One very telling thing is, whenever we play under Dhoni, when the fast bowling thread is bumped, it is usually negative comments and we find the bowling performance is bad. When we play under Kohli when the same thread is bumped, we find that we are very excited about the bowling and some bowlers stand out. That alone shows the difference in approach express bowling, tweaker, Adi_91 and 3 others 6
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 As if he knows how to use spinners in overseas. HE shows no faith in them alsoAshwin before this match was the no 1 spinnerNe he opens the bowling with no slipSo wat ru telling worlds best spinner is gonna ball not to take wkts I found this very intersting interview. pointing out dhoni use os ashwin in 2011 aus tourWere dhoni was asked to bowl defensively, n ashwin even said in press confernece tht was my roleN i rem he started bowling in aus round the wkt n also in 1st test against sa in 2013 express bowling and Rightarmfast 2
Rightarmfast Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Pretty upfront and great interview. Thanks for posting
Ankit_sharma03 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 That joker in the video...Can someone tell him 2007 WC was in SA that we won and 2013 CT was in England in 2007 wc he absolutely showed faith in bowlersHe has a wayward bowler called sreesanth that time. N Ct2013 pitches turned square N wen pitch turn we all know dhoni rulesJadeja took 22 wktsBut u wnt get turning pitches every were.
vishalvirsingh Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Make him some biryani like Rayudu no spinner will succeed in Australia on Australian pitches.Australia is very careful..do not want jaddu and ashwin to get spinning tracks
vijay50 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Bhuva Kumar, Axar and Jadeja isn't going anywhere. They are Dhoni's favorites and will play most of the matches and responsible for series loss. Mosher 1

kruiser Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 more than 2 spinners, it was the field placing that lost us the match. No slips when fast bowlers are starting, no slip for spinners, easy singles any time. Only if he had choked the singles, keep a few areas open in the deep so the batsmen have to take risks, it would not have been easy for ozzies.
